Top Amazon Reviews

  • Fantastic e-bike, fantastic value and fantastic customer support
Size: 26 Inch/250-watt Color: Teal
This review is for the sixthreezero EVRYjourney Women's Step-Through 500-Watt Electric Bike The short version is: This is a great bike, sixthreezero has great support, and I highly recommend the bike and company. My mom has some back issues, including fused vertebrae, and over the years, the number of physical activities she's able to participate in has declined. Long family bike rides on a normal bike were no longer an option. For that reason, in February we decided to go to a local Pedego store and rent e-bikes for my mom and wife. We did a 15 mile ride, and everyone, including my mom and wife, loved it. My mom liked it so much that she reconfirmed the prices when we got back, but it was definitely outside of her budget. We both spent the next several months looking for an e-bike deal that was too good to say no to. There's some cheap options online, a Costco mountain e-bike, some nice bikes that are out of our budget, both online and locally, but nothing that was amazing... Until Prime Day 2019. sixthreezero's 250-watt bikes were on sale during Prime Day. I don't even see them available now, but it was a great deal, and I did some research before phoning my mom and telling her I think we'd found the deal she was looking for. After telling my mom about it, she ordered one, then asked if I was getting one for my wife. I was on the fence, because it's still a lot of money, until she said, "Don't think about how much you're spending per ride. Do you want to have lots of happy memories of the family riding together or are you OK without those?" Well said, Mom. I ordered one the next day. Now, I don't see the 250-watt bikes on Amazon anymore, but when they were here, the online documentation, both here and over at sixthreezero at the time we ordered made the basic functionality seem the same between the 250-watt and the 500-watt bicycles. The key feature both my mom and wife were looking for was the ability to pedal with adjustable resistance, but leverage the throttle with the left thumb to accelerate with the motor when needed to either catch up quickly or tackle hills without issue. (And without changing the level of pedal assistance.) Some of our first impressions were not great. My mom's bike showed up looking amazing, and my dad assembled it without issue, but the throttle did not behave as expected. (The boost was limited to the level of pedal assist you were in.) My wife's bike showed up, but the fender and rack were both badly bent. Before buying the bike, I saw that sixthreezero, if you bought directly from them, was willing to offer 365 day test drives, and seemed really focused on customer satisfaction. The Amazon reviews seemed positive, and the box the bike came in offered free assembly at a local bike store. (I'm not sure how that works because I've built over a dozen bikes and this bike is easy to assemble.) That said, I had a damaged bike and it didn't perform as I was expecting. I was definitely concerned when I reached out to sixthreezero. After multiple calls, photos and a video to confirm that my 250-watt bike did not perform the way their 500-watt did (the technician I was working with only had a 500-watt readily available to troubleshoot with), they were willing to work with my mom and I to find a satisfactory proposal that would allow us to send back the 250-watt bikes and they would ship us 500-watt versions. They were polite and reasonable throughout the process, but I was still nervous about bike number two, since the first bike did arrive with issues outside of the e-bike functionality. I was pleasantly surprised that they seem to have people working there who seem to genuinely want to make sure their customers love their bikes. The 500-watt bike went together very easily, and after assembling and tuning the bike, I took it for a ride. The bike was a blast. The only thing that jumped out at me as being substantially different from the Pedego my wife rode was the seat post. The Pedego had a shock in the seat post, which doesn't do a lot, but is better than nothing. I ordered a "Sunlite Pillar Suspension Seat Post, 27.2 x 350mm, Silver" from Amazon, which seemed like a good improvement to the bike, which is otherwise fantastic. (The rigid seat post makes the ride a tad rough, which is why I gave comfort 4 stars, I'd bump that to 5 with the suspension seat post.) My wife says she finds the sixthreezero 500-watt basically the same as the Pedego. I'm sure there are differences, but the only big one we see is the price. I can't adequately describe an e-bike in words alone, but if you have the option to rent one locally, I highly suggest you try it. It's a lot of fun. I'm not a fan of skilled cyclists tearing up mountain bike trails with heavier, faster e-bikes, nor would I advocate road bikers throw electric motors on their bikes, but the joy e-bikes are able to bring families by leveling the field for families that want to ride together is awesome. And sixthreezero's EVRYjourney cruiser is a fantastic bike for those people. We're averaging speeds of more than half a mile per hour more as a family than we used to, and my wife comes home with a smile on her face while my kids come home having used up more energy and me having gotten a better work out. I know this bike is not cheap, but I like the way my mom put it to me: Would you rather be out riding with your loved ones? This is a fantastic option for those who can't match the speed or stamina of the people they're riding with. ... show more

  • As beautiful as the picture
What a wonderful bike, easy to learn the pedal assist and throttle. Sturdy and easy to put together. There are a ton of extra screws so don’t be scared if you have left overs. I charged the battery when I started putting it together but wanted to make sure it was fully charged so left it for about 5 hours. Everything seems to be running great no hiccups so far. love it, pull the trigger if you’re thinking about getting one. ... show more

  • Love my bike
My e-bike was easy to assemble and was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. I love the periwinkle color with the pink wheel rims! I’m still getting used to the pedal assist and I like the throttle, it lets me get going and power up all of the hills in my neighborhood. The rear tire was deflating quickly but I think it was because it was filled completely. ... show more

  • Terrible and uncomfortable
This bike is not meant for short people nor is it as simple to drive as it states. The power doesn’t stop until a solid 1/2 a second later which if you pedal then decide to stop it will just keep on going which 1/2 a second is a looog time. Furthermore, this is very uncomfortable bike, I came back after a 1.5 hour ride and my spine was very painful. I had my husband buy me 300 dollars worth of bike seat posts and expensive seats just to make it rideable and still not good. What a terrible person investment. The installation was easy enough to figure out so that is a good part, also you get decent range for the battery. ... show more

  • Bike Damaged
Size: 26 Inch/500-watt Color: Navy
Could not do a fair evaluation due to damage to the derailer and front fender. Rode without shifting from fifth gear, bike has plenty of power for even the steepest hill in our neighborhood and was a comfortable bike to ride. The cons were cadence sensor peddling which can be jerky at times, the motor would continue to run after peddling stopped and the computer quality needs to be improved. ... show more

  • Love it!
Size: 26 Inch/500-watt Color: Navy
What a great bike! Beautiful and comfortable. It's been years since I rode a bike. It takes a little getting use to the electric pedal assist, so I would recommend practicing in an empty lot. But it doesn't take long.

  • Great looking bike!
Size: 26 Inch/500-watt Color: Navy
After assembling this bike I had a few issues. No matter how I tightened the seat it sagged in the front after riding. Colton sent me a new one and it seems to be fine. Also, the bike started to abruptly when pedal assist engaged. Colton sent me instructions o how to make adjustments to the controller. Have been able to make it better, but still goes a bit too fast. I will continue working on it and report back. ... show more
