So I have been using washable pee pads for several years and this is the 4th brand I have used. These pads would rank in 2nd place on my personal list for function. I like the fabric back with the grips. I find this much better than the vinyl backed ones, both in durability and floor protection. They machine wash and dry (low temp) very nicely. The other big pro is the size. This is a very reasonably priced option for the extra large size. The top layer is soft and absorbent enough that there is no splashing as my dog urinates. However, these do not absorb quite as fast as I would like. I have a big dog and it takes a little time for the puddle to dissipate, which can lead to wet pee footprints on your floor if your dog steps right where they just peed. This is not a big problem and most dogs are smaller than mine. All in all, I think this is a good value minded option, particularly if you are looking for the large sizes. The big ones would also be good for extra floor protection under litter boxes, indoor dog parks, smaller pee pads, or a place to dry your dog off after a bath. ... show more

We have a dog that we rescued about 10 years ago. We have no idea how old he is but but he's getting to the point where he's having some issues, incontinence being one of them. We had been putting down disposable training pads, which aren't cheap, so I figured I'd give these a shot. The first thing you notice is the size...these things are big. That's a good thing because I think the old dog mistakes them for a rug, which has always been one of his favorite targets. Once they've been soiled, there is no problem with dripping as they are very absorbent. Really, the only downside is cleaning them. The instructions say to wash these on the gentle cycle, but instead I just hose it off on the driveway and it works fine. That's okay while it's still summer but won't be feasible in a few months. At that point, we'll likely go back to disposable pads for a while. All in all, the Siwa Mary Puppy Pads work quite well. I can't comment on their durability as we haven't used them for long but they appear to be well-made. I would think that they would last long enough to train a puppy with no issues. ... show more
