Item purchased: the non-vented wide-angle hood. This hood is solidly made and fits well. As advertised: The interior surface is matte black without a trace of shininess. I got it to see how it would work with a Sigma 10-18mm lens for APS-C (full frame equivalent: 15-27mm). The hood vignettes strongly when the lens is at 10mm. I expected this. The vignetting is gone by 12mm (full frame equivalent: 18mm). So, Sioti's "coverage" description is a bit on the conservative side. The hood is a better-than-expected option for the 10-18 than I thought it would be. One drawback: I'm not crazy about the supplied 86mm lens cap (which fits at the end of the hood and not directly onto the lens). I will replace it with an 86mm cap sold, also on Amazon, by Breakthrough Photography. That company's lens caps are well made and have very strong springs. ... show more

My dilemma was that I had a 13mm ultra wide with a 67mm filter thread and a 77mm CPL. So I purchased a 67-77mm stepup ring so I wouldn't have to buy a 67mm CPL. Now the problem, I couldn't find a lens hood that I could screw into the filter and not shoot without rounding over the corners. Until I found this gem. The outer dimension is 105mm, so it shades the lens without any distortion. Problem solved. The overall quality of Sioti lens hood is excellent. I needed a lens hood for my Canon 24-70 2.8 L-Glass lens (82mm) and they were out of stock at my usual photography stores. I wondered why this one was so cheap but also wondered why it would matter if it fit on my lens and kept the harsh light out. Ha!! First… it doesn’t really fit on the lens nice and snug like it is supposed to. and second, it frames every photo with a dark very defined circle! I was at my first session using it and after a few shots realizing there was no way to rid my photos of the dark circle, I took it off and threw it in the trash. It wasn’t even worth my time or hassle to return it. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! In this case, you don’t EVEN get what you pay for! because it is completely and totally worthless!!!! ... show more
