  • Works great, but be careful with the included harness
Unit works great! Be careful with your probe if using a voltage meter to test continuity when wiring up your vehicle side harness. The inserts in the stereo side harness bend easily. Phone aspect works great too!! Setup once powered is very easy to figure out. Highly recommend if you just want something to bring your older vehicle a little farther into the future. ... show more

  • Not bad for price.
Got this for my old truck so I could have Bluetooth capabilities. It felt cheap and lightweight but that was to be expected with the price point but once hooked up it actually surprised me and sounds good. I like that you can change the color of the buttons as well. I have it hooked up to 2 5.25 door speakers and 2 6x9s behind my seat and it sounds phenomenal for the price. Much better than I had before. ... show more

  • Cheap and good enough!
It's cheap. Like cheaper than a nice set of ear buds cheap. And it works. It just works. The color changing face plate was a nice touch as most of my dash lights have a reddish hue, makes it much less glaring than the blindingly bright blue of my last one. The RMS number listed is a joke though. This isn't going to push 300 watts. With 2 3x8 and 2 4" panels the head was able to get sufficiently loud to require shouting to hear others in the small car. Getting closer to its max volume the sound quality got significantly worse. So if you're looking for amazing sound quality and tremendous power, this ain't the unit. But if you want a dirt cheap head unit with some nice features and probably 50-70 watts RMS, this is a great unit! ... show more

  • Great cheap Radio
Actually a very decent radio, Bluetooth works excellent, sounds good, really has everything your name brand radios in the 100ish price range, plus i like the Led bars that go with the music, added touch, works excellent with subwoofer amp, got this to replace a radio in my jeep that got wet, so far so good, just sat in vehicle for a while listen to music at 75% volume, sounded great, i'm sure your speaker selection has something to do with it, so make sure you get decent speakers ... show more

  • Cheap easy to install Bluetooth radio
I'll start with the only disadvantage I can really think of at a cheap price point radio. I wish the display was doable so when you're on the pitch black dark Country Roads it wasn't quite so flashy. The good is that at around 25 bucks I really don't think you can go wrong. It's easy to use, easy to install. You may need to buy a wiring harness specific to your vehicle to make it even easier to install. Sound quality is good and volume goes higher than I need. Even though the screen is a bit flashy in appearance I maybe it'll be okay with it at night. Screen is well visible in the daytime although it's a bit hard to see if the sun is directly hitting it such as installed in a boat or something similar. Seems like decent quality for around 25 bucks and I can't complain other than the brightness at night. ... show more

  • Junk! Keeps turning off.
Had to buy a different wiring harness to install in truck. This radio keeps turning off sometimes after a few minutes and sometimes instantly. Also everytime it shuts off it forgets all preset settings and you have to reprogram everything like audio, channel, brightness ect. Amazon said ineligible by 1 day to have it replaced because had to wait for harness to arrive. Now I'm returning it and was told they have 30 days to maybe give me refund. Don't like this seller at all. ... show more

  • More impressed than I thought I'd be - not a bad stereo at all!
I selected this budget car radio for a couple reasons. First, the stereo in my off-road / grocery getter SUV was really not holding up its end of the bargain. The controls were getting far too flaky to use, and trying to tune in a particular radio station took far more dexterity and concentration than anyone driving a car should use for anything other than driving. This unit went in easy enough, even though the vehicle (a 1996) was not set up to accept a DIN-style radio. Luckily, the old radio was a single-DIN design, and I was able to re-use the home-brew mounting system (otherwise it would have required some customization or other accessories). One of the big reasons I chose this radio over several others is that it actually has the capacity to tune in AM radio stations (12 presets total). Here in the desert southwest, that's a big plus, because sometimes that's what you can pick up when you're hundreds of miles from anywhere. The install was as simple as it could be, and the sound quality (through the very limited speakers that will fit in my vehicle) was surprisingly good in radio mode, but really shined when I streamed some Bluetooth music from my 'droid phone. The connection and set-up to my phone was very simple and intuitive, well-described in the instructions (which were more comprehensive than many products I've seen that cost MUCH more). All in all, I can highly recommend this unit for a budget installation in anything that will hold a single-DIN radio. Is it the best option for a high-end installation? Nope, but if you're going to spring for multiple subwoofers and a few big, chunky amplifiers, you're going to go with a higher end head unit. But this one bends the needle on the giggles per buck meter. FWIW, I didn't review the remote. There was no battery (or I missed a small button cell somewhere), and I honestly can't imagine ever using a remote control for my car stereo. OTOH, it might be just the trick if you've driven to a secluded riverbank for a picnic, and need some mood music! ... show more
