I didn't buy this to use for its intended purpose so I don't actually know how it is as a mop bucket. We bought this for anything but a backpack day at school and it worked for its intended purpose. The only issue we found was the top didn't want to stay on so we just left it off. May have been user error, maybe its a design flaw, not sure which. I must have been spoiled with my last mop and bucket. This one is cheaply made. Bad design!! As soon as you dip your mop and put it into the strainer it squirts all over the floor from the back side. The position of the strainer is horrible. It leans backward. There is no water break inside so if you move too fast the water sprays. When picking the bucket up to dump it out the balance of the bucket is awkward. And Lao the strainer is hard to put on and remove. I would not buy this item again! I do not recommend. It’s garbage. All yellow, plastic parts of this mop bucket are still going strong after 9 months, but the metal components, that appear to be coated in some protective spray, have completely rusted through, rendering the wringing out/squeezing out of excess water component inoperable.
