Features

  • PCIe Gen 3x4 interface with read speeds up to 2,200MB/s and write speeds up to 1,600MB/s
  • TBW=300
  • The custom screw should come with the motherboard or PC. Please acquire the screw from your motherboard or PC Manufacturer, if needed
  • To support a Silicon Power PCIe SSD, the system must have an M.2 connector with only an M key. The Silicon Power PCIe SSD does not have a B notch and therefore, the B key on the SSD connector will prevent it from being inserted.
  • The warranty terms on all of its SSDs are based on whether the warranty length or TBW limit occurs first.

Description

The P34A60 is an affordable storage solution that doesn't skimp on performance. It's designed for novice users, DIY system builders, purpose- built system manufacturers, and simply those who are looking to upgrade their PC. But with a PCIe Gen3x4 interface, which means four lanes are used for transmitting and receiving data simultaneously, read speeds up to 2,200 MB/s, and write speeds up to 1,600 MB/s, this SSD is anything but basic. The P34A60 supports NVMe 1.3, which demands better performance vectors than AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface), including scalable bandwidth, increased IOPS, and low latency. In addition, HMB (Host Memory Buffer) architecture, which allows the host driver to allocate system memory (RAM) for exclusive use by the SSD, results in higher efficiency. It's this teamwork that provides optimum performance. The P34A60 is engineered with LDPC (Low-Density Parity Check) coding, a powerful error correction code (ECC) algorithm, to keep data secure. Furthermore, End-To-End (E2E) data protection, to ensure that accessed and retrieved data are correct from start to finish, and a RAID engine, which provides an acceptable level of fault tolerance, work to enhance data integrity for greater reliability and stability. With an M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor, the P34A60's compact size allows for easy installation in laptops, small form factor PC systems, and some ultrabooks. And with up to a massive 2TB capacity option, it's an easy upgrade that can greatly expand your system's storage potential while also saving space for other components.

  • Works fine so far
Style: SSD
It was very easy to install and has so far worked with no issues. Speed is fine although I don't see a huge boost over the sata SSD I already have installed. Definitely faster than my external hard drive though. Only been around a week since installing so I'll update if I find any problems, but so far I'd say this is a great bargain drive. I'm making a point not to overfill/work the drive too....mileage can vary depending on usage so I'm going to try and get the most life out of it that I can. ... show more

  • Great SSD
Style: SSD
It works great for me - I order Silicon Power for anything that's not my boot drive, and they always work great. Great cost, and great performance. I get these for family and anyone asking me for help to make their pc faster. Haven't done any benchmarking on them, but I've never seen them slow down on any of the devices that I've installed them in. ... show more

  • Great price for a storage upgrade
Style: 2TB
I got this to upgrade a new laptop that simply didn't have enough storage. It was fast and easy to install it in my Dell laptop, fortunately - just open the 8 screws, pull off the lid, and swap it out. Some systems might be harder. Getting it working was a little harder, as I had to manually reinstall Windows and put my software on. If I was migrating from an old system to a new one, I'd have done a lot of backups, but this was nice and easy. Performance is great. Haven't had any issues with all that space; it just runs and doesn't complain. I've had a few SP drives before and these always work well. No regrets! ... show more

  • You honestly can’t get better for the price.
Style: SSD
For any application that calls for a gen3 nvme ssd I recommend these hands down. The price relative to capacity and performance is unbeatable. Built numerous computers using these and have never had any issues. Speed is exactly as expected from a gen3 while having no issues with heat or drive errors. Definitely strongly recommend these to anyone! ... show more

  • It died but was replaced under warranty
Style: 512GB
I probably wouldn't store very important things on this drive. Mine died within a year or two. I had to pay to ship the broken one back. Works with all nvme and looks ok. Pretty fast too.

  • I'm super impressed with this little thing!
Style: 256GB
I bought this with the "FIDECO M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, USB 3.2 Gen 2 to M.2 NVMe Enclosure, PCIe NVMe Adapter for M & M+B Key, Sandwich Style Design, Tool-Free Installation, Support UASP and Trim" to put it in. Both electronic items were shipped with a 12 can box of canned cat food in a padded envelope which initially scared me. I envisioned this SSD being crushed or broken but the clear plastic clamshell packaging was sturdy and it didn't appear damaged. I opened it up, inserted it into the enclosure, and it works great on my computer! It's so much faster than the older smaller one it replaced that I realized I should have replaced it sooner. I primary use this to transfer files between a Windows 11 and an off network Windows 10 computer I use for back up purposes. The speed on this is in the triple vs single digits. I've had it less than a week at this point but so far I'm very very impressed. If it dies later I'll update this review. If I haven't updated it by the time you read this, you can safely assume it's still working like a champ! ... show more

  • Extremely fast for the price
Style: SSD
I've had this SSD for over a year and I think that it is great for the price. I think I got this for $45-55 and it gives and gives. A lot of storage with fast speeds. There may be some other competitors such as the MP44 which is just as good, but this one works fine. While I don't have enough time using this ssd to say whether or not it is reliable, it has lasted me for long enough to say that it will be fine downloading massive amounts of games and movies and wikipedia haha. ... show more

  • Unreliable and unstable for literally ANY regular PC use
Style: 2TB
I blame myself for trying to save 20-40% on acquiring this part. I am building a bargain PC for an older family member and using donated parts from gaming friends to do it. The only thing I needed to purchase was a new hard drive (my relative still has a monitor, mouse and keyboard). I figured if I could keep this build under $100 it would be a huge help for her. We would've went with a SATA SSD, but with an available m2 slot, I figured we'd keep the PC build as small as possible with the fewest cables. Unfortunately, any savings we achieved were quickly gone once we started moving her data (large amounts of photos) over to the drive. The OS (win11) installation went fine, and the OS did seem to run okay with the drive almost empty, but once the drive started to fill up, the system became unstable and started to randomly hang, pause, give errors and more... just complete chaos, it made her PC virtually unusable for seconds into minutes at a time... not something you want out of a newer PC. Internet content wouldn't load, you couldn't open a file explorer window, everything barely ran for short and longer periods of time. Data transfer speeds and a data monitor program unfortunately told the tale... initial speed bursts of around 300-400mbps quickly dip down to 0, then back up to somewhere in the middle, and then back up and down throughout the transfer, widely varying transfer speeds are a telltale of a crappy, unreliable drive. We eventually swapped this drive out with a name brand (WD) and the data transfers on that one start and end at the same speed - steady as can be. If you're looking to save some money, please look elsewhere in the PC. I honestly cannot think of a use for this drive in ANY application... even if you don't use it for an OS, once you start filling it up with data you will be experiencing lagging and errors that will wreak havoc on your OS. We pulled this drive and returned it within a week. We chose a WD blue drive for the replacement for $20 more, and the reliability is very solid - literally none of the same issues are happening, and the rest of the PC hasn't changed except for swapping out this drive. I get wanting to save money, but DO NOT skimp on your m2 drives, especially this one... you will regret the time you spent trying to get it to work properly. ... show more
