I’m honestly befuddled. I bought these mats for our new apartment. We have gone back to renting and wanted a barrier between where our bare feet are standing every day and where many generations of renter before us have planted their bare feet every day. These shower mats seemed like a great solution because they looked safe, simple, and were aesthetically pleasing. But a week after putting them down I arrived home to find rust stains in the tub under the mat. Rust. From plastic. I can’t explain it but I know I just lost my security deposit thanks to it. I purchased these because I thought they’d protect us and the tub and work in favor of my security deposit... but they somehow cause stains I can’t remove. I have no idea what’s causing the rust except for the fact that these mats trap water/ don’t drain the best... and you have to wet the tub in order to get the suction cups to work in the first place so the suction cups are surely trapping water. Ultimately, I don’t think that should have caused rust— they eventually air dry underneath— but here we are. ... show more

I am happy about everything with this purchase, both the product and the seller. These bath mats are very durable, great quality and the price is a phenomenal for the quality of this product. Bonus is you get 2 for the price of what many other sellers charge for 1. I picked the color green and I love the shade I have an aqua color scheme inn my bathrooms and it looks perfect. Another thing I like is that thee bath mats are long and in front where the drain is there is an oval opening so the mat will not cover the drain. Great purchase! ... show more

    • Does the job - but it smells!
Bought these just to replace my old ones. They do the job - sticks well, non-slip, etc. Marking 4 stars for comfort because it's cheaply made, which is to be expected, but there are little imperfections in the plastic that feels like you're stepping on dust or some other kind of small particle that is noticeable and somewhat annoying. Not too much of an issue, though. The big problem? It smells strongly like cheap plastic! Expect for it to smell for a long time, too! I ran it through the washing machine twice and kept the water running in the shower for 10 mins straight, and it still smelled! The smell became tolerable over time, but I noticed it for 2 weeks. And, since it comes with 2, make sure you put the 2nd one somewhere hidden because it STILL smells for me. Bought these in November, and every time I pass by where I stored it, I get that fresh and nasty plastic smell. ... show more

What a wonderful find. Bathing my dogs was tough because they would skip around and get very nervous. Finally, I got tired of struggling and decided to purchase a bath mat. I like the color blue so ordered it. It was a great deal to get two mats at once. The way this thing grips the tub is so good. And the pups don't slip and slide. I would have given it a 5 star, but the mat smells so bad it has taken over my bathroom. I have tried so many things to get rid of the "shipping" smell. I hope it goes away soon. I'm hanging it to dry every night and I hope it doesn't get mold as my other did. . Other than the smell I really like it. update.....I must have one that something is wrong and I'm getting an exchange. That is great. ... show more

    • Make a tub much safer against slipping!
Used one like these for about 2 years before it accidentally got folded over and held against the agitator of my washer until one side was thrashed. Washed in my top-loader about every 2 weeks. Ordered this 2 pack and put one in the tub the next morning. Definitively makes the tub a lot safer place if you take showers instead of baths. Hold up well and come clean in the washer with regular detergent. The 'free' or 'plant based cleaners' do not get these very clean but good old original Tide does just great. ... show more

    • Good, Large bath mat BUT IT SMELLS TERRIBLE!
I opened the item yesterday and it seems like a good product. I'm just wondering why it says you must wash it before the first use. Does it mean it has unsafe chemicals on it? It sticks to the bathtub pretty well after you push on the suction cups strongly. It is long and lines my entire bathtub. The care instructions say that you must wash it with soap and dry it AFTER EVERY USE. This does not seem practical for a shower mat that gets used 4 times a day by different members in our family. I wonder how it will keep up and if it will prove to be mildew resistant. Overall , right now it is an affordable set of 2 bathmats and seems to be good quality. UPDATE: Every time I walk into the bathroom I wrinkle my nose and wonder what that weird (stinky) smell is- until I remember that the bathmat is giving off a smell. I've already washed and dried it according to the instructions but it still smells horrible. No mold, but yucky smell. ... show more

    • CAUTION CHEMICAL ODOR
Chemical Smell on the mats is horrible, the smell will give you an headache. I washed them before I used them. The smell is still very strong. If you close the bathroom door, walk in after a little while, the smell will make you want to regurgitate. The mats are pretty and they do the job. The smell is the down fall. I can’t keep them in my house. I wish I would’ve sent them back when I first smelled that chemical odor, instead of trying to work with them. ... show more
