I didn’t want to buy new curtains but I needed less light in our room for my newborn. These were easy to install and as you can see from my photo, they definitely work. (Blackout shade installed on the right curtain.) Some of the reviews mentioned an odor but once I washed them it went away. Some reviews also stated that they could see the pins once installed but if you take the time to do it right, you won’t see them. I laid my curtains flat on the floor and added the pins, then hooked the shades on, then I rehung the curtains and that method worked for me. I purchased curtains for my new home and I wanted the bedroom curtains and the living room curtains to have 100% black out. The curtains I purchased stated that they were black out curtains. When I received them I liked the curtains but they were definitely not black out. So I saw these and gave them a try. OMG, they are exactly what you would find in a five-star hotel, especially here in Las Vegas, where even during the day the room is so dark that you cannot tell if it is day or night. That is what I wanted and these did exactly that. I had to get several panels since my curtains are pretty wide they tended to show where each blackout curtain met, I took a very thin piece of Velcro and attached it to the separate panels and that did the job perfectly. I bought two sets of these hoping for some light block out, but mostly making my home cooler in summer. But they exceed my expectations. They do darken completely, only light is on top of my tabs and one set was a bit small for width in living room but still work out great as I have a sheer in between the two panels for the last 8 inches. I absolutely love them. For my family room they were a bit wide for each panel, but, I folded them over each long side by 2inches and sewed a seam. Then instead of pinning them with the hooks they come with, I sewed the liners to my panels. Wish I would have done that with the living room ones.But, after summer I will take them down and I will sew them on! Works much better than any of the hook pins! But , I am 100% satisfied with these liners. ... show more

I am impressed with these liners. They are easy to install by using a separate rod behind curtains or attach directly to curtains. The material is thick and will hold warmth in and cold out during winter. One of my pics shows the liner held up to the loght--completely blocks light. Others pics are before and after use. I recommend this item. The only thing I would wish for is a tad more width, although I do plan to purchase more in the near future. ... show more

I didn't realize these came with those small, curved hooks with a sharp "needle point" that pokes or slices your fingers while trying to get them attached. I laid my curtain out on a flat surface, and got poked nearly every time trying to attach this liner. Owie. Bleeding. I've returned them.

These work great. I was thinking I’d have to replace my curtains with blackout ones so I bought blackout curtains but they weren’t 100% and light still came through. There is also a limited selection on 100% blackout curtains. So I got these, attached them to my old curtains that I liked better and now I have my 100% blackout. Love it! ... show more
