  • Always reliable
Style: No Cable
Always always… always reliable. You know what you are going to get when you order this mic. Throughout the years this mic has been reliable and great sounding every single time I purchase one. Hell of a price too!! I can’t imagine a live gig without one.

  • It's The Industry Standard
Style: No Cable
I don't care where you're playing, these are the mics they'll be using, they're sturdy, hefty, and all-around tough. As for the sound, it's incredible, capturing all elements of my voice, unlike USB mics. Great for home recording or playing live, their ad says it all: It's the first mic you'll buy, it's the last mic you'll buy. ... show more

  • The Classic SM58 Microphone - The Workhorse
Style: No Cable
"Industry Standard" is a phrase you'll often hear used to describe the Shure SM58 microphone, and for good reason. Built like a tank, and designed to sound great and minimize feedback. This is the same mic that is used on stages in stadiums and clubs across the planet. This is primarily a vocal mic, so if you're looking to mic instruments, you're better off going with Shure's SM57 model. That said, you could probably run one of these SM58s over with a truck and it would still work perfectly and sound great for your vocals. ... show more

  • Best microphone you can buy.

Used for vocals. The Sure SM58 always performs well. I think it is the best vocal mic you can buy.

  • Shure Microphone
Style: No Cable
Microphone works great.. clear sound.. good value.. just wish it had a on off switch. We just unplug when not in use. But we really like it, no feedback.

  • Good build quality but you need a microphone preamp like SE Dynamite or Cloud Lifter
Style: No Cable
While I liked this microphone, I did end up replacing it with an AKG D5, which simply has higher output levels. The build quality of this thing is fantastic and it's built like a tank. The sound quality was great. My main beef with this microphone is that the output signal is VERY LOW, and is very gain hungry. Depending on how long your microphone cable is, and where you do your pre-amp, you can end up with a noisy setup to get proper useful levels. You'll need to use an SE Dynamite(what I use), a Cloudlifter, or Triton Fethead as in-line microphone preamp. They are approximately $75 to $150, but add gain directly out of the microphone. You use +48v phantom power into the preamp, and the preamp plugs directly (no cable, or short cable) into the microphone. This solution works wonders. My main application is audio for high-quality-needed video conferencing. ... show more

  • The Goat
Style: No Cable
If you are debating over this mic you are probably trying to save a couple bucks on some other jank mic nobody has ever heard of. Just get it and get on with it. Can't beat it at this price range. There is a reason everyone recommends it. Low handling noise, great prox effect, built in pop filter, great sensitivity. Do it. ... show more

  • There's a reason why it's the standard!
Style: No Cable
Bought a pair of these to use at home w/ the band so that we are prepared for live performances, bc every venue uses these things and you should know how they work! Good sound and good quality overall. Just wish it had a bit more sensitivity, but it picks up only what's in front of it by design.
