This is no cheap camera at all. This camera has awesome quality and was so easy to install. I have been using the camera for 6 months now and the dash cam has worked flawless. I am so impressed with this camera I bought one for my father as well. I purchased this back in September of 2023. It worked good in the beginning, the installation was easy, the video was clear. However things went down hill when a message on the dash cam kept popping up to format the file. I was completely confused. If this is supposed to do loop recording then why would I have to delete my files erasing all the data. It didn’t make sense, I found out that the dash cam stopped recording a week ago!!! Then I remembered I had brought an SD card a while ago, so I decided to insert the SD card into the dash cam. It didn’t work, I was again confused as I’m searching on what type of SD card the dash cam uses. All the SD cards that show up on the google search all looked like the one I have purchased. Then I came back to Amazon and pulled up this dash cam to see if it would provide what type of SD card it takes. I’m glad I looked at the review from one person that indicated he was having the same issue with the SD card. Apparently the company made the dash cam that would only take their brand SD cards. What a scam!! Now the dash cam is useless and won’t record because the SD card is no good and it doesn’t take any other SD card. I had to buy another dash cam. Yesterday, on my way into work I got side swiped by a truck with dealer plates. Apparently they were delivering the truck to their customer. I was accused of merging into the truck and causing the accident by the employees of the dealership and the police were called. I am glad I had this dash cam in my car because once I showed the video to the police they were able to say I was in my lane and the truck was at fault. Now begins a long drawn out insurance thing, but at least I have evidence to protect myself from a shady business that lied to the police and tried to strong arm me. ... show more

Purchased in July 2023. For the last 2 months have had issues with the SD card needing to be formatted and the camera just shutting down for not reason. Can't format the SD card that came with the dashcam. Can't access any files that were on the SD card. It will turn on for a few minutes then turn off and we play that game... you get what you pay for, it lasted about a year of hardly any use as I only drive approx. 6000 miles a year. The first problem which I've noticed is that the SD card was not recognized at all. I could not make it work, it was impossible to format it or by the camera or by PC. This SD card was provided by the seller, so I would be glad to buy a quality products, but not some waste. Be aware of this seller!! But I've decided to let it slide and not to go with a process of returning the camera, because the camera was working well with another SD card of my own. Another thing that the back camera is recording the picture in a mirror view, making left side as a right side and I don't know the program to reverse it. The media could not be loaded. After being involved in several accidents where the other party wouldn’t admit fault, I finally acted on getting a dash cam, and I’m quite satisfied. Daytime and nighttime recording quality is great. The quality reminds me of an actual regular camera. As far as performance goes, I just wish the battery lasted longer. However, I know that it would be good enough if I ever had to show the cops any evidence. It’s also easy to install, as the cord length is long enough for an SUV. Overall, great buy! ... show more
