This luggage set is a dream. Lightweight, yet rugged (hard sided), beautifully made with lots of zippered compartments. I got the mint green color and it is so pretty! The zippers are sturdy, each piece is expandable (even the personal bag/duffle bag--which, by the way, slips over the handle of any of the suitcases in this set). Each suitcases also has TSA approved zipper locks. The wheels are incredibly smooth and super quiet. I can't say enough good about this set. My wife bought these as we needed some new luggage. These are wonderful! First of all they come shipped packed inside one another. Which is also how we store them. Second, The color is on point it just looks good and they feel premium. Did I mention they feel premium? Well they feel that way without the premium price. They roll well over tile and carpet and easily fit in the above seat storage for the carry-on for a recent flight we took! You will not be disappointed in this set! ... show more

We need new luggage for a series of trips from America to Europe and North Africa this summer. On paper this was the best set for the money and it still seams like the best overall deal on Amazon after the first of our scheduled trips (Morocco and Portugal). The PVC + ABS material is resilient and the corners are rounded so I feel confident in the claims of high durability and impact resistance. This set is one of the few that has 2 expandable bags (large and medium) and in addition to the divider with its two built-in zipper pockets (one mesh) it has an extra pocket running top to bottom along he hinge for small items like cosmetics and toiletries. The wheels are great an the lock and zippers are perfectly functional. We bought another luggage set at the same time that was made by Fanskey. It features silky smooth YKK zippers on the outside that make these zippers feel good, but not great. But the inside zippers are more or less the reverse and it lacks the extra interior pocket or the expandable mid-size bag (only the large is expandable). I think the Showkoo is the probably the better choice for most people because of the features and impact resistance, but for the trip I just took, I think I liked the Fanskey a little better because the flatter sides and sharper corners together with the slick zippers made it a little easier to pack. But it is super close. I would choose based on color. One concern that we had with the Showkoo is that if you add up the length width and height of the large bag it ends up exceeding the combined size allowed by many airlines. This is the direct result of the rounded corners. But if you measure the circumference with a flexible tape measure I think you will find that the rounded corners make the circumference the same as the more flat-sided Fanskey bags we bought. In practice I think airlines are going to be a lot more concerned about the weight of the bag than its ultimate dimensions. (And we actually got away with a couple of extra lbs on our return flights.) So I would not be concerned. If you find the color you like (and my wife really likes the bright green) than I would say go for it. But I would probably buy the Fanskey again in the shiny navy blue just like I did this time. ... show more

    • Stellar performance!! 3 connections with nearly maximum weight

I purchased this luggage last fall, but wanted to wait until I used it to write a review. I took a recent trip to South America which involved 3 connecting flights. The large bag weighed in at 64# and the next to the largest piece was 68#. They rolled great! I did put a strap around the outside to ensure that there wasn't too much strain on the zippers. One strap was removed by TSA someplace along the way and not returned. The zippers did great. The compartment enclosures inside the bag and little zipper pockets were very handy. I loved the Sky Blue because they were so easy to spot coming off the luggage carousel. On my return home, 2 of the 3 bags were empty and it was so nice to just nest them one inside the other. There were no dents or holes. Just a few skuffs - no fault of the quality of the luggage. I just cleaned them up with Mr. Clean eraser and they're ready for the next adventure!! My only constructive criticism is that an additional handle on the bottom of the bags would be helpful. There were times when it was difficult to just get a hold of them. I was easily able to reset the TSA lock on 2 of the bags, but could not get the lock on the 3rd bag to reset. If you have any tips on that, I would appreciate it. All in all - great bags - great price point - they were little work horses! ... show more
