First, when you open the package the melts will be connected together, you will have to break them apart, very carefully. They are very soft. They do look pretty and you can smell the fragrance right away. I was a bit worried because, even though they are larger than the normal national brands, they don't seem as dense. The soy melt doesn't seem to fill my warmer with as much liquid as the wax type does. I took a picture, but since the liquid is clear, I am not sure how well it shows up. I placed one soy melt in a warmer that uses a bulb. It does take a while for it to melt, and it does take a while for the full fragrance to hit, but when it does it is strong, but not overwhelming. I also had a different brand (wax) already going and soon this Honeysuckle was overpowering the Apple Cinnamon that had been on for a few hours. My house is 1200 sq feet, open floor plan, so I could smell it in the living room and in the kitchen. There was a light sent that reached my bedroom, which opens into the living room. I feel it is worth the price for this type of melt. I am not worried about cleaning because I use cotton balls and alcohol to clean up the melts in my warmer, and it has always cleaned my warmer very well. ... show more

I love the smell of carnations with their wonderful combination of sweet & spicy, so I was happy to find carnation wax melts. The cubes are slightly larger than others I've been using, so I put only one into my warmer. On the plus side, the fragrance is quite strong - in no time at all you could smell it throughout my entire downstairs. In fact, even the next morning when I got up I could still smell it, even though the warmer had been off for over 12 hours. The unfortunate thing was these things smell nothing like carnations - they're cloyingly sweet, and smell like nothing so much as bug spray - there was none of the spiciness that makes carnations so special. I had to melt some other strongly scented cubes to get rid of the odor. And now the good news... The company saw my original one start review and contacted me. They're not only sending me another fragrance to replace the one I don't like, but also samples of other scents (not wax cubes - something like scented paper). I love how the fragrances are strong and really last, so I'm hoping that I can find a few I like. I'll update my review when I get the new one. ... show more

I ordered the Shortie's Candle Co. Jasmine scented wax melts and am in love with them! I received them quickly and though I wished there were more than six cubes, the wax cubes are bigger than the other wax melts I have. After actually using a whole wax cubes and seeing just how amazing they are, I will probably break them in half and only use half at a time. When I opened the package and smelled them it smelled just like jasmine. After using it in my wax warmer the smell was exactly the same. I've used many different wax melts and noticed some would smell kinda waxy or like chemicals, but the scent in these stayed the same. They are also not overpowering like some wax melts can be. I am a bit sensitive to fragrances, so using aerosols and even plug-ins will irritate me, but not these. These give off a true jasmine scent that filled my living room, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom, without being overwhelming. Also, most of the ones I have used lose their scent after only melting them once. These have stayed true to scent even after using the same one twice. I order 3 more scents and cannot wait to smell them! I will definitely keep buying my wax melts from Shortie's Candle Co. ... show more

I buy these religiously. My favorite is the lavender scent. Very strong and lasts a long while. Every time I get visitors they always assume I just cleaned the house because it smells so crisp.
