  • Best Scooter you can find
I have had this model for 6 years now. I like it so, well I have two of them just incase one should need repairing. I did have one problem with mine but, it was because, of my grandkids not the scooter. The little red switch at the bottom which makes it freewheeling so, you could push it if you wanted to. Well, they thought it was funny to pull up on it and while I would be moving forward they would pull it up to stop it real quickly. Not a good idea. It broke. I had to have it fixed. Not the scooters fault just fun loving grandkids. lolol This scooter I put in my van which is not a handicapped van. I just removed one seat and load it from the side door. No problem since this scooter is so, light weight. I can charge this scooter right from the what use to be the cig. light plugin. It has two small batteries you can buy at any battery store. They cost about $50.00 but, they last for a really long time. You can go an easy 5 or 6 miles on one charge. Of course that also, depends on your weight and if you are on flat ground or on hills. A lot of people ask if medicare will pay for this. If they can get a dr. to prescribe it then maybe. However, they would have to order it from a medical site if so. I might also, add this. One of the scooters I got had a part missing. I called the factory and had no problem in them sending the part to me. They said they were very sorry and I got the part which was a basket that goes on the front of the scooter pictured here. The tires on the scooter are solid so, you don't have to worry about getting a flat tire. The seat they show here is an upgraded seat. It does have some padding on it. The frist one I ordered did not have this however, I do have this on my second scooter and have ordered this same seat for the 1st one because, it is much more comfortable. You do have to put some of this together but, not much. It is very easy. Most of it comes pre assembled. Things like putting on the basket and the seat and putting the batteries in etc. Oh the battery charger is always with the scooter too. Which makes it nice should you get out somewhere and need a quick charge. Just plug it into any outlet and in 10 min. you have enough charge to get you about a mile. I have done this at malls before. Oh, speaking of malls this is the best way to shop. It can go through those tight ailes so, easy better than you can walk through them. lol Maybe that is why they call it SHOPRIDER! ... show more

  • Pricey but Nicey
Towering over 4'10" and a whopping 93 lbs, my beautiful wife is very happy with this scooter. It looks like it was custom built for her. The seat is comfy, adjustable and has arm rests, which can moved away for a hasty exit. At a top speed of 4mph, you can forget about the need for Airbags, Speeding tickets, as well as a helmet and seat belt. The two tiny rechargeable batteries make this scooter as powerful as one of those "Barbie Cars" you see the 6 year old girls riding in the neighborhood with. (I think they go faster) This is NOT a scooter for BIG people. I didn't say "FAT". I said "BIG", so don't get all snippy with me. If you are a FAT person, you may still sit on this scooter however, you won't be going anywhere, because it simply doesn't have enough power to move you, unless it's downhill. If you are a Professional CLOWN; this scooter would make a great prop for your grand entrance into the circus tent. This tiny scoot-chair has a key, which only turns on the electric motor. It does NOT lock the steering or wheels, making it eazy to steal and walk away with it under your Trench-coat. Consider purchasing a Pit Bull to run along side you because this thing costs a lotta money. It's great for short runs to the Pizza/Beer Store. The cute front basket has ample room for a pack of gum and little else. I Pimped mine out with a bunch of red and blue LEDS, as well as a LED headlight, so my wife can be seen better at night. I certainly don't want my Beer or Pizza mashed by some one careless enough to be texting and driving. The Scoot-Chair-Thingy is totally silent and looks like a UFO floating down the street. It has a horn, which emits annoying "Girly-Girl BEEPS" and can be clearly heard ONLY if you have your ear against it. I guess, it's a great choice IF you are a small person weighing NO MORE than 125 lbs. Any MALES considering purchasing this scooter should first buy a few Skull and Crossbone Stickers and apply them on the scooter BEFORE riding, because this scooter screams "WUSSY". Painting the thing in camo or Flat Black might reduce the snide remarks on your facebook page though. I give it a 2, only because I can't enjoy it due to my height and size. (Thats OK with me because I can walk faster anyways) My wife gives it a 10, because it fits her perfectly. ... show more

  • Very Good Product & Excellent Customer Service
Purchased the Shoprider Scootie Compact Travel Scooter and found two cosmetic pieces were damaged by rough shipping, along with one part that was missing. Contacted the seller, Cascade Healthcare Solutions and corresponded with Samantha. She was absolutely wonderful! She was very responsive to email inquiries and quickly responded every email. She was also the liaison between me and the manufacturer to get the two broken parts replaced and also getting the missing part sent as well. After sending photos of the damaged pieces, Samantha was able to send them via FedEx and the parts showed up two days later on a Sunday. As for the scooter performance itself, my spouse likes the long battery life (as advertised) and the compactness for getting the scooter in and out of the SUV. The only improvement we would like to see is for a redesign of the charging outlet for the batteries. Currently, you have to take off the seat and seat post, then pull off the battery compartment to access the charging outlet. Seems better served if the outlet was relocated for easy access so that these steps are eliminated. But overall, not a big deal. ... show more

  • This is not a very good scooter ,
Once we put this scooter together it was wobbly, battery seemed to last a long time . On the 30 day of having it, it just quit . Nothing seems to be loose . It turned on my husband moved to for me to get in and it never came back on or worked after that. Sad how they won’t stand behind their products. Don’t buy this scooter .
