I love this bench. I had to order two to make the length of my deck rail but they look and blend just find, especially once I find a long pillow for top. The seating portion has a slight dip that makes the bench comfortable. I like that. I am close to 300 lbs and the bench made me feel comfortable and sturdy. Lastly, the assembling was SUPER easy....seriously. It was just put the screws and washers in the hole and tighten. I needed a backless black bench for a special area on the patio and this is perfect! It's actually nicely made and was very easy to put together. I had my doubts when opening the package but when done I was completely satisfied. It's coated in a weatherproof something but I will likely add another coating (as per the instructions) since it's outside full time. Comfortable too!! ... show more

I ordered the "Burnt Brown" color and it looks great. I like the look of the contrasting gold screws although some reviewers have felt otherwise. There's definitely variation in the shape of the wood, which I think also adds to the rustic appeal. I returned it though because of a wood chip right on the top of the bench (no chips elsewhere). I think there's a high risk of getting chips like this with a not very high-end bench, but if you're ok with filling it in with wood marker... or ignoring it... this bench is a decent choice. ... show more

This 'natural' bench was finished with sandpaper about grit 200. I sanded the 'sharp'' edges before primer and 2 coats of paint. Easy assemble (holes were perfect), the legs are not all the same, so you must assemble in correct place.

Liked everything. I was able to find each Item on my check list: Durability, Appearance, Cost, Easy Assembly, Chose my own finish, Store when not in use, Not attached to deck, Useful well made product. Cost less than having benches attached to deck. I can keep these benches out of the weather when not in use. Can move to any area. Comfort w/ two colorful cushions per bench. *Leg protectors to prevent rotting if they get wet. Sold on amazon. ... show more

When the ups person delivered the box he asked if I had returned it or if it had been shipped to a wrong address. You see the supplier forgot to remove the address label of the previous person who opened and put together the bench. Had it been for my personal use I woukd have immediately returned but I'm not at home. I bought for a beach rental in a far from civilation place. Plus it's pretty heavy making it difficult for an old guy to return. The only problem I had with the bench was the previous owner removed some of the letters making it difficult to figure out which piece belonged where. Fortunately there were only 6 pieces so trial and error got the bench together. And Fortunately all the bolts were in the opened package. The quality of this bench was below average. The holes were drilled properly but the hardware supplied will rust out quickly. Forgetting the pre used state I still would not recommend buying if your intending to use outside. For indoor use it will last. Where is quality control with Amazon? There's not even a way to report the seller unless you return the item. Buy with caution! ... show more
