  • Very nice endmill - working well on 3/16 aluminum
Size: 4mm SHK 2.5mm DIA Number of Items: 1
Great end mill that is working well as I learn to cut 3/16 aluminum on the CNC machine. Still practicing a bit, figuring out the speeds and feed rates, but excellent mill for the price. Also seems to be holding up quite well!

  • Sharp & Smooth!
Size: 4mm SHK 3mm DIA Number of Items: 1
I am using this on my homemade CNC mill and it is very sharp. It has been cutting very smooth. It fits well in the collet with no issues. It's been used for many hours and has held up well!

  • Review of 4mm SHK 3mm DIA

Nice end mill bit making perfect cuts. If you can catch the current sale, it is half off, so definitely a deal.

  • Complete trash for aluminum.
Size: 6mm SHK 6mm DIA Number of Items: 1
Endmill is absolutely garbage for aluminum despite the listing saying it is. .5mm step over and it gummed up like in the video right out of the box on some 6061-T6. No idea if it works for steel but, this is not the endmill for aluminum. Would give zero stars if it were possible. Look elsewhere.

  • Great mill but make sure your collet fits
Size: 6mm SHK 6mm DIA Number of Items: 1
I love these Sharpro bits... they are always engineered to precision, and super sharp. Unfortunately for me, this one didn't fit my router, even with the 6mm collet. But I'm sure this is an issue with my router collet, and not the bit fitment. I have ordered another collet and hope to try again when it arrives, but I have no doubt that like my other Sharpro bits, I will be completely satisfied with its performance. ... show more

  • Good Surface Finish in Mild Steel, Durable
Size: 6mm SHK 6mm DIA Number of Items: 1
This review is for SHARPRO Carbide Square End Mill 2 Flute 6mm Shank and Cutting Dia. AlCrN Coated Upcut Spiral CNC Mill This is a solid carbide spiral cutter with 2 flutes and a ALCrN coating, which means it should not be used on Aluminum. I did a fair amount of cutting on some scrap hot rolled plate and some other mild steel shapes. All cuts looked good and the corners were square. I was slotting at 20 ipm running 2600 rpm and a 0.030 depth of cut. My Taig mill handled the cut and the cutting sound was acceptable. Every cut had a good surface finish. I did not try climb cutting, but conventional milling worked fine. One minor complaint I have about most of the machine tool bit sold here is that there is no tooth loading table or suggested depth of cut or shoulder cut specs. I know these are only approximations, but I often find they are a good starting point. Before doing any test cuts and again after doing the test cuts, I examined the cutting edges using a 100x microscope. There was some minor wear, but overall the edges and tips looked good. This bit should last a while if not abused. If you cut Aluminum with this bit, small particles of the work will weld to the bit and reduce the effectiveness of the coating, possibly overheating the bit and certainly damaging the finish the bit will provide. Overall, a good bit for general work in mild steel and possibly stainless. ... show more

  • Nice roughing endmill with some pretty respectable build tolerances
Size: 6mm SHK 6mm DIA Number of Items: 1
The media could not be loaded. Just recently I wore out my bread and butter aluminum cutting endmill an Amana ¼” single flute. It still works but gives me quite a bit of tearout on the leading tip edge. I decided it was time to look at a new endmill and given that I’ve had pretty good luck with other non-premium brands in the past year I decided to give this Sharpro 6mm 2 flute endmill a shot. I almost didn’t because the image in the listing gives the impression it’s not a flat bottom endmill. Spoiler it is, see my images. When this arrived I have to say the packaging was nicer than any other endmill I’ve ever gotten, even my Amana which was 4 x times the cost of this one. As has become a habit of mine recently after opening I immediately put the bit in my micrometer to see how accurate the bit was compared to advertised. This bit was surprisingly close, coming in at 5.997mm shaft and 5.972 on the cutting head (understanding it’s rather difficult to get exactly here because the flutes would need to be exactly perpendicular to the micrometer and this is hard to do by hand). But 0.025mm deviation is much better than average I’ve seen with other bits. I’ve got some that are tenths of mm off advertised, always undersized of course. This leads to holes smaller than designed and perimeters larger. Seeing how close this was I was eager to test it in my “accuracy gauge”. I have a 3 stage pocket cut in aluminum designed to fit a F688ZZ flanged bearing. I’ve very much dialed in my settings for several other bits using this method and it can tell me reasonably quick how undersized a bit is and cut quality. The pockets have 3 different diameters and 3 different depths so this shows me hole diameter accuracy and depth accuracy (how well the end of the mill is cutting in Z). My Fusion file has 0.02mm of extra space in it to allow for diameter differences bearing to bearing. The first thing I noticed is this bit is more of one of my ‘roughing’ bits. It’s an upcut and does gives some tearout (the zoomed picture does make it look worse than it is) so if you want superclean I’d follow this with a finishing pass on a downcut bit. With the tearout I was honestly not hopeful it would pass my tolerance test but to my surprise the bearing fit great first time with no deburring or cleanup. There was zero radial play and the bearing sits very flush with the surface. All in all it worked quite well and I look forward to trying this on some larger adaptive pocket cuts and see how it performs. ... show more
