This is a good product for indoors or outdoors if you have access to electric. It needs about 10 minutes to warm up but after it definitely browns and melts a marshmallow. The positive is that unlike a flame the inside is melted and the outside is browned rather than charred. The negative is that it takes time to make that happen. Our family loves making s’mores over a fire, but it’s not always convenient or feasible to get a fire going and then have to wait until it safely burns itself out. That’s where this s’mores maker really shines. You just plug it in and within a few minutes it’s hot enough to hold a marshmallow over it, make it nice and gooey warm, and assemble your delicious s’moore. The media could not be loaded. Pros: It is compact. It can be used indoors. Cons: It takes a long time to heat up. It takes an equally long time to toast a marshmallow. Because it takes so long you don’t eat so many. 😂
