This is a good product for indoors or outdoors if you have access to electric. It needs about 10 minutes to warm up but after it definitely browns and melts a marshmallow. The positive is that unlike a flame the inside is melted and the outside is browned rather than charred. The negative is that it takes time to make that happen. Our family loves making s’mores over a fire, but it’s not always convenient or feasible to get a fire going and then have to wait until it safely burns itself out. That’s where this s’mores maker really shines. You just plug it in and within a few minutes it’s hot enough to hold a marshmallow over it, make it nice and gooey warm, and assemble your delicious s’moore. It never heated fully (element never turned red) it did get warm and slight pale toasted marshmallows! Very disappointing.
