  • You Get What You Pay For in today's world. SharkBite 22462LFA Barb Ball Valve 3/4 inch
I have shopped similar shut offs for as low as $3.40 but don't trust the China manufacturing process and don't need a flooded utility room. You GWYPF I have had a flooded basement and its no fun at all, water can damage a lot of stuff fast plus you get the mold problems. Now when I go on vacation I shut off the water to the house just for piece of mind. ... show more

  • It is what it is.
Pros: It's a valve. It opens, closes, and doesn't leak. Unlike what the name may sugest, it doesn't bite! What more could one ask for? Cons: it does not slice, dice, or make julienned fries. It doesn't save you 15% on your car insurance. It doesn't block the blue rays of the sun, or make your tomatoes grow 3x larger. It won't clean your engine and improve fuel economy. It won't make your dishes squeaky clean, or stop people from squeezing the sharman. It won't tell you how to get to sesame street, where the beef is, or who let the dogs out. ... show more

  • Excellent SharkBite quality
Got a few of them from Amzn, at pretty good prices. So can't really complain. I am the kind of person who will pay more for brand of good reliability/quality, and SharkBite fits the bill. As this thing goes into my house's plumbing, I don't like to risk getting my basement flooded, even though I have basement flood coverage. Similar thing can be said of life insurance (great for your family, but sad for me) ... show more

  • Quality Evident Valve, & clamp rings hold just right so you can position then crimp.
Whether re working my ole Moen it the new pipe service for 50 more years, or connecting yes even Sharkbite pipe to Everflows at times, the Sharkbite clamp/crimp hugs the pipe and saves frustration for stuff that is supposed to be tough. Found the competition clamps do the job, but are like a loose ring that just takes time and patience. Ok A lot said or not, Sharkbite is what I buy, and trust I can rely. ... show more

  • Good valve - Box stores will gouge you for these
Seems solid. Smooth action and no leaks after install. Either get these on amazon or get a similar brand at a local hardware store. Just avoid box stores as they go for 10-12$ ea vs $6 at a mom n pop.

  • Perfect to isolate auto heater core
I wanted to isolate the heater core in my 75 corvette due to excessive cabin heat and the original vacuum valve failure. I wanted something fairly unobtrusive. I picked this valve up and installed it with no issues. Closed the valve and then removed the handle so it didn't look funny in the engine compartment. I will store it in the glove box. It works great, looks fine and now I can open in winter for heat and close it in summer when I have the top down! ... show more

  • Great value for quality
Re-plumbed my own house to PEX when my galvanized pipes started leaking, and none too soon. This little valve works perfect and it’s the best value I could find even at the local big box stores. Thanks for helping keep me in budget with quality parts!

  • Not 3/4" potable water size
Not 3/4" I.d.. It is stamped 3/4" but it is not a full port 3/4 potable water pex valve. It is some other 3/4" size maybe o.d. It appears to be the size of 1/2" copper type m. It is not I repeat not a 3/4" pex potable water size. Don't buy this if you are looking for 3/4" pex .i.d. size
