The Danco Waterproof Silicone Sealant Grease is ideal for lubricating faucet stems, valves and cartridges when repairing a leaky faucet. Plumbers Faucet and Valve Grease helps reduce friction, provides long-lasting lubrication and helps hard-turning faucets work smoothly. It is NSF 61 approved and meets or exceeds the requirements of FDA regulation 21. Our Silicone Faucet Grease works well in temperatures between -40° to 400° F and can be formulated for many plumbing and household applications. This Silicone Faucet Grease is water resilient and oxidation resistant and can be used on ceramic stems. Works amazing for around the house, automotive, best for O-Rings, stubborn zippers, noisy tracks. Even though the bottle is small it has a good amount it in and you don’t need a lot to get the job done, dab a little on whatever your applying and rub around the entire area then your good to go.

I've used this on multiple plumbing projects and even to lube the threads on the end of hoses. It works very well for my needs and although the tube is small, I've been able to use just tiny amounts to make a big difference.

    • Wish the tip was longer
The greese works well but the nozzle is a little difficult to get into some places. Other than that it is good. The greese is not something you would want to put into other things, like a syringe, to squeeze it out unless that syringe is disposable since the greese will not wash off.

I purchased the DANCO Waterproof Silicone Faucet Grease / Sealant to protect a new set of rubber O-rings I needed to install on my Price Pfister kitchen faucet due to a persistent leak coming from below the handle. Although I have never used silicone grease before, it was recommended strongly by the manufacturer. Using it was pretty straightforward: you simply squeeze the tube after piercing the tip with a needle and the grease comes out pretty slowly and evenly. You can use your fingertip to spread the grease evenly over the O-rings and to lubricate other fittings that twist. I was amazed how little you actually need to get the job done. The DANCO Waterproof Silicone Faucet Grease/Sealant really performs like a champ. The faucet spout and handle turn smoothly and in conjunction with the O-rings, the leak is fixed. You simply wipe up any excess with a cloth or paper towel. The Danco tube has a cap that screws in place to protect the grease for next time. Great for taking a faucet apart and greasing it up. Made our 12 year old faucet work like new. ( I did take it apart and clean the build up of calcium buildeup before putting it back together . Made the handle work east again. Useda little on a cloth for the pull out faucet .

    • Don't need much but you need it!
This is a handy size for DIYers. If you're not a professional plumber this fits in the tool box or junk drawer nicely for when you need it. Works for other things too, not just plumbing related. It's a good all around lube that isn't messy or runny. As long as you use it within reason! It works great on door hinges too! Just my 2 cents. 😉 ... show more

I use this grease on fussy marine controls and linkages on boats. Great for outboard shift shaft orings. Handy small tube to keep in traveling tool pouches.
