  • My new favorite tool
Color: White Style: with HEPA Empty Base
Ok, I know that sounds like a dumb title, but hear me out… I had an old corded Shark that lasted through a decade of HEAVY cat hair and litter mess from two cats (one is a THICK haired cat who sheds like a Siberian Husky) before finally cleaning it’s last litter mat. So I looked for a new Shark, cause that’s durability in my opinion. Wanted new tech. Was tired of covering the house in dust every time I had to empty the vacuum. Saw this and said “screw it. It’s a Shark, it can’t be that bad….” Fellow shoppers and pet parents… This thing is wild. It has cut down on my need for dusting by near 90%. Traps everything in that little self empty bin and filters the crap out of the air that comes out of it when it auto empties. It makes me WANT to vacuum because it’s that easy to use and fast! Only have to empty the self-empty bin like once every week to week and a half, so that’s great! Usually just do it on trash day! The little bin on the vacuum itself gets a little plugged with all the cat hair at times, but nothing that a whack or two on the bin with the palm of your hand can’t handle. And there’s always the option of just emptying the bin manually. The battery life could be better but the charge time isn’t bad and I see that Shark does sell extra batteries and a charging sleeve for them too, so that’s easily remediable. This thing gets under anything that has at least 2” floor clearance and gets EVERYTHING off the floors. Super lightweight so it moves quick & is agile enough to go around corners even under furniture. The attachments are nice, but I’d kill for a long extender bar to make it so I can reach the floor corners with the corner tool without sitting or bending. Love the vacuum. Use it DAILY. Just would love a few more attachments! ... show more

  • For every day, cleaning and ease of use this is perfect
Color: Rose Gold Style: without HEPA Empty Base
This is a wonderful, fast easy and lightweight way to vacuum your floor. It does not pick up the finer or finest particles, but I need some thing for dog hair, and whatever mess my dogs get into, including extra kibbles, flung all over the floor. This vacuum works well for these types of situations. The batteries do go down quickly, but I am able to quickly vacuum a two bedroom one bath bungalow home in the 15 to 20 minute time frame of the battery. I have use the handheld piece of the vacuum to do my basement stairs and that’s where the magic was. It worked great I am still getting used to how you empty the cylinder with the debris edit sometimes I am able to drop it right into the trashcan other times I end up, dropping it on the floor right beside the trashcan I have discovered a fail proof way to do it is empty it in the handheld mode, which gives you more control of where the cylinder goes. I’d definitely give this two thumbs up even though there were a lot of negative comments that I read before I purchased it. ... show more

  • WORST VACUUM EVER!
Color: Gray Style: without HEPA Empty Base
I really wanted this to be amazing. I thought this would be a great thing to have in my condo so I could run it around quickly ever day just to keep things cleaner. It’s a very pretty vacuum, lightweight, and it all fits together well, but that’s where the positives ends. Now I do have a chinchilla, so things in my home have a fine layer of bath dust most of the time, but that can easily be sucked up- my old handheld Buster of Dust used to do it just fine. If you have anything more than just the minimum of dust on your floor, it’s going to clog. Every minute or two it would clog, and I would have to stop it and jab a chopstick into the tiny clump of dust that was stuck in a tube to dislodge it. It clogged 4 times in the 12 minutes I got to use it- then the battery died. I charged it for 3 days after that, and the next time it ran for 14 minutes before the battery died, and clogged 8 times in that 14 minutes. The suction seems good-until it clogged and started spitting out stuff back onto my floor, but unless you have a spotless floor, every hair and bit of random stuff on the floor will clog it. The floorhead got hair and dust wrapped around it in the short time I got to use it, and clumps of dust clogged around the brush wheel (even though it’s supposed to be self cleaning), so I had to unclog that after every use too; even the tiny wheels on the floorhead got hairs tangled in them and had to be cleaned with tweezers. It took 40 minutes to clean a vacuum that I got to use for less than 15 minutes each time. I’ve tried to use this vacuum 4 times- on tile, hardwood, and twice on carpet, and it doesn’t work well on any of them. The little reservoir that holds the dirt is frustrating as well; when you press the button to empty the vacuum, the little door shoots open and launches anything that is inside it all over the place. You have to put the entire handheld section into your trash can and open it to avoid having to vacuum around the trash can after you’re done emptying it. If you have a totally clean house because your weekly housekeeper just came two days ago, and you just want to run it around the floor to keep things looking spotless, or if you spilled some flour in the kitchen, it might work great. if you have a normal house that has dust and dirt, you are probably going to have the same problems I did. I really wanted it to be a useful thing that would help me keep my house cleaner, but it was just a disappointment all around, and an expensive disappointment at that. ... show more

  • Lovely unit, works well, battery is blah.
Color: Gray Style: without HEPA Empty Base
It's a very nice little unit, do love the features. A couple of complaints. First and foremost, they really need either a bigger battery or an option for a second and charger. Battery lasts about 15+/- minutes and takes forever to recharge. It's actually a small vac but the collection area is even smaller. My first dust buster had a larger storage area (and I think the battery last about as long!) Not all attachments have a place to be stored on the base unit. However, it works well when the battery is charged! Lightweight, easy to maneuver in tight spaces and under furniture and the suction works very well, even the suction propelled roller works very well. It's really made for the quick "hit and quick" jobs and for that it's fantastic. If you're thinking of doing the whole house, maybe not (although I'll still run it until the battery dies!). Nice unit, maybe would buy again, would recommend to others with above listed caveats. Oh, and to the people who complained about the power switch and 'empty bin' buttons being too confusingly close - ahhh, no... They're more than fine where they are. ... show more
