Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Shark Vacuum cleaner has garnered positive reviews from users who appreciate its efficiency in cleaning small to medium spaces effectively, the emphasis being on its ability to handle various surfaces with ease and maintain consistent suction power. Users were particularly impressed by the vacuum's design which incorporates smart features and its surprising durability for a mostly plastic build. It's very easy to assemble and its performance rivals larger, conventional vacuums.

Pros

  • 🌟 Exceptional cleaning performance on multiple surfaces
  • 🌟 Consistent and strong suction power
  • 🌟 Easy to assemble and disassemble
  • 🌟 Handy features such as LED lights and a switch for different floor types
  • 🌟 Surprisingly durable given its largely plastic construction

Cons

  • 🚫 Top-heavy design can make it unstable when not in use
  • 🚫 Ineffective cleaning on the sides of stairs
  • 🚫 Storage hook for wall mounting is not included and must be purchased separately

Should I Buy It?

Yes, the Shark Vacuum is a fantastic investment for those seeking a highly portable, versatile, easy-to-assemble vacuum with good performance and consistent suction power. It is best suited for small to medium spaces and handles multiple surfaces impressively. While it has minor flaws, its pros far outweigh its cons.

  • A solid corded vacuum
Style: Rocket Deluxe w/ headlights
I have a Shark Rocket and loved it and since the reviews were good, I bought this one (hv322) for a friend who needed a new lightweight vacuum. I tried it and love it. Compared to the orange one (hv301), this one -is lighted both by the vacuum, and the dust canister should you use the attachments without the long wand. You can vacuum in dim light easily. -has a bigger and **detachable** canister which is great. Now you don’t have to carry a plastic grocery bag with me around the house to dump the yuck in. But that is still easy to do… And I can spray-rinse it out since it’s no longer fixed to the cord. -still has similar amazing suction which is great. -still maneuvers to an almost 90 degrees when teaching tough spots. -Note: If you can find a floor attachment that fits the HV322, it’s great for floors; better than the vacuum attachment on the first setting. For folks complaining about suction, etc., even the best vacuums require human intervention. Be sure you 1) turn the vacuum over regularly and use scissors to cut any accumulation of long strings and hair along the two grooves and pull that stuff out and toss. Your vacuum can’t perform optimally with a ton of hair wrapped around the brush. 2) wash the filter(s) regularly with dish soap and warm water. Wash and squeeze until water runs clean and let dry overnight. Your vacuum can’t perform optimally with clogged filters. I’ve had my hv301 for many, many years and it still runs beautifully and has amazing suction. A little care goes a long way. I’m now waiting for the hv322 to go down a little in price so I can buy one for myself. ... show more

  • Excellent Product
Style: Rocket w/ Self-Cleaning Brushroll
The photo is how it sits and rides in my car and I carry it into homes in 2 parts, vacuum in left hand, dust cup in right hand. I like the weight and manuverability. I love the ease of putting it together. I love the long cord and ease of emptying dust cup and rinsing/drying at end of day. Cons would be the top heaviness, but the style, with the hand-grip in between is nice and balances the weight. I don't mind laying the vacuum down to move small items out of the way. Older people may have trouble with that. You have to be careful if leaning it up against something, as it can fall down if not propped up securely. At end of day I have the dust cup off the top and it rests on the ground, as in picture. It doesn't vacuum SOME bath rugs easily, while it vacuums others fine. Weight of bath rugs seems to be the factor, as I've used it on both short fluff and shag. (Update: it will vac a lightweight bathroom rug if I vacuum in one direction only, lift at the end, bring back and repeat) It's Narrow vacuum head seems like it takes a bit more time to cover large floors, but it saves time equally by moving between chair legs and picking up crumbs closer to edges. Works wonderfully on hardwood, laminate, carpet or linoleum. I haven't tried it on cement floors. I've only had it and used it for a week, but it seems durable and a Very good value for the money. I would purchase again and I would recommend it to others. Overall, none of these are cons for me personally. I love this purchase. I have the very 1st shark vacuum?? Where the dust cup lays flat, horizontal to the floor. You tap your foot on the release and it pops up. And an above ground "hand vac" was sold separately. I have that too. These were/are my Favorite Shark vacuums. Until I got this little wonder. I still prefer the original model but I am fast preferring the Lightweight of this one And the narrow head, which also goes Under more items than my old one because the dust cup is not down on the head. My old shark is now at Least 10 years old... closer to 15...and someone made a comment about maintenance. Absolutely! The motor is still strong on my old one but it started acting up. So while I waited for this new model to arrive, I used each clients vacuum at their house. I was surprised how many people have sharks 😊 -different models. Several people never cleaned their filters Ever! One thought his vacuum was ruined. I took the filter out and his was disintegrating. I showed him how compacted the dirt was. Then, noticed dirt coming back out onto the floor. I opened the flap to his hose and used a chopstick and some other gadgets to pull out in clumps, compacted dirt, cat hair and cardboard from the kitty scratching boards. YES, please clean the vacuum parts at least once a month. It's so easy and your purchase will last Years! I also helped him look up his model and order new filters. This deal of a vacuum is so easy to clean and access the filters. No reason to not keep it clean. Update: I have used this vacuum for a month now. I changed it to 5 stars. I like so many features on this item-the extra LED light at the base of handheld dust cup is Great for using with the wand to see under beds and reach baseboards & so many places. Saves me from down on my knees and up again all day. I need compact, lightweight, Durable and tough vacuums for cleaning several homes a week. ... show more

  • Definitely a worthy machine
Style: Stratos w/ DuoClean & Odor Tech
I had a lot to consider with changing to this style of vacuum. I’ve owned Shark products for many years, and usually have really liked them all, even though aspects of them differed. The last upright I had did not propel forward much when using, so this model is drastically different when using the carpet mode. Imagine the image of the little old lady getting drug by the Great Dane across the yard .. that’s the pull this stick vacuum reminds me of. On one hand if you have a shoulder injury where pushing is problematic, this vacuum is great. On the other hand you better also be ready for it, because it’s ready to take you for a walk. While the majority of the cleaning aspects are just as top notch as you expect from a Shark product, the proximity to the baseboards seemed off, YET the ability and ease to effortlessly step on the foot pedal to detach from the base and easily take the suction wand to quickly use around the baseboards and corners is a guilty pleasure. The pet hair attachment was also an unexpected good surprise, with it working much better than anticipated. I like that there is a headlight on the base vacuum, which really helps you see if you’ve missed a spot. The debris canister isn’t huge, but I found it was a decent trade off to keep the vacuum lighter, and the more frequent emptying was just gratifying to see how much I was getting things cleaner. There are only two cons that could be improved upon, and one is the handle grip fit. While initially it’s fine.., after a considerable amount of time it was causing my hand to become sore (like when you’re doing yard work and the tools can rub a hot spot on your hand between your thumb and palm). My hand is average to smaller in size, so it’s just how it fits me. The other item is that there needs to be an elbow attachment for when using it just as a hand vacuum, otherwise you’re having to position the hand vacuum flat to get the attachments to suction properly, and not everything can be easily cleaned in a flat position. I kept thinking that certainly there should be an elbow type attachment somewhere that I missed, but I couldn’t find any. ... show more
