This machine gets excellent reviews for a reason: it is a great vacuum! I was looking for something I could easily pull in and out of a spare room to vacuum a room or two or occasionally deep clean after my robot vacuum runs. I’m disabled, so it was very important for the machine to be lightweight and this one is light enough that I can do a couple rooms without getting too tired. If you are more able-bodied, you could do a whole floor or two without needing to empty the dust cup; I only empty mine once or twice a month. I chose this corded vacuum so I wouldn’t have to worry about battery life declining over time or forgetting to charge the machine. My dad vacuumed over the cord one time and ripped a small portion of the casing off (not exactly sure how, but it’s still working fine with a bit of electrical tape covering the wires), but besides that it’s been durable. It comes with great attachment options. I have used the narrow rectangular attachment a lot to get kitty litter from the corners of a room and just underneath the washer and dryer. I’ve also used the small attachment with felt to vacuum cat fur off my couch and it works great; I hardly ever have to pull clumps off first. The anti-wrap roll does work pretty well; I’ve had this vacuum for 3-4 months and only had to manually pull hair off of it once. I typically use it to vacuum one room plus a hall once or twice a week. I have long hair and I have one long-haired cat and a short-haired cat, so it’s a fair amount of hair and fur. ... show more

Bought this stick vacuum based on reviews after my 20 plus year old kenmore elite upright bit the dust. No pun intended! Received it and had it assembled and using in about 15 minutes. I had watched a couple of video reviews so I was familiar with assembly which is simple. This vacuum works very well. Picks up debris in both directions, super light and very maneuverable. The cord is a little stiffer than I like but not a problem. Self propel works great on carpet. Super good at picking up animal hair. Basically it works great for my needs. The one real downside to this vacuum is its very small container that catches the debris. This means you have to empty more often. It’s easy and quickly removed for emptying but would be nice if a little bit larger capacity. Overall I really like it and I’m glad I bought it. ... show more

I am so glad I switched to cordless! This vacuum has slightly less power than its corded counterpart, but the extra suction trigger really helps. It goes over most of my area rugs better than my last vacuum (one set of bath mats is too fluffy and trips the clog sensor). It gets under my furniture better than the last one. It is lighter, and I don’t need to go hunting for outlets. It is easy to empty and clean. Other things to consider: I have a modest house without carpet. I can do a pretty thorough vacuum of the whole house on one charge. Extra deep cleaning (dusting, etc) or a larger house would require a re-charge. The vacuum does not have a way to be hung or hold attachments. I was intending to hang it with my mop and broom, but it has to be taken apart, it will not stand up fully assembled. Overall this was a perfect fit for me and I fully intend to buy this again in the future. ... show more

This is a well-made stick vacuum. It stands up perfectly by itself. The cord is very long. It picks up dog hair and dirt like nothing I’ve ever seen. It does not clog, and is easy to empty each time I use it. I tried to go with the Shark Rocket, but most Shark stick vacuums don’t stand up by themselves, and that did not work for me. I am 71 years old, and it is lightweight and very easy to push and take from room to room. It is worth the extra money. Love Shark. I’ve had Shark vacs since we moved into our first apartment in 2008. That said, this one is, by far, the best! Better suction, no tangling of the rollers, easy cleaning/replacement of filters, stores compact, and works like a champ. Vacuumed with the old shark and then hit the same space with this one. I was shocked by the amount of dust and dirt it retrieved! I also love the little scent disk. It keeps the vacuum smelling fresh. The step at the base to release the wand is GENIUS (no more bending over). The cord is initially a tad stiff and unruly BUT it becomes workable and manageable in about 2-4 uses.
