Yes, that is a large golden retriever next to a Shark in front of a velvet couch. For you dog owners out there that should be testimony enough as to the power of that vacuum, but wait there's more. I have 3 golden retrievers, I live in the country, and I like my windows open. This makes for a great combination of dust and hair everywhere unless you vacuum frequently. I would say I have owned or used well over 30 vacuums in my life the only one that can compare was a wall vac system but it did not have the mobility my Shark has. I read the reviews and tried to pick the best vacuum in my price range and managed to get an exceptional deal through Amazon on the reconditioned products. Here are a list of pluses for my personal vacuum needs: VERY easy to push, turns on a dime and gets in tight places. Switching to the corner cleaner is so simple I find I use it more often and the brush tool attached slides up or down quickly so I can go from getting the corner in the couch to vacuuming the lampshade (a must when you live in the country). Having said that I found that little brush works also to dust the underside of the coffee table between knick knacks and I am not stirring up the dust it is being sucked away. Having tried it there I hit anything that needed a little brushing like in the creases of the windows and the heat vents, heater filter, tops of frames, ornate mirror, chair cushions, sliding glass door base. Word of caution, this does come with little vents to open to relieve the suction power..... I know it is an inappropriate comment but I think this thing could suck the chrome off a bumper. Having said that use caution around small dogs and kids and those expensive oriental rugs that I will never have. At this point you are probably understanding my vacuum should be a cross between a shop vac and some sort of high powered commercial unit. Seriously I got more cleaning done in a shorter period of time because this unit is well thought out and easy to use and I wanted to clean because it was NOT a hassle. My favorite is when the vacuums in upright the roller is off so not burning thru a belt and it's a breeze to detach, reattach. I know I will get a LOT more vacuuming done and the cleaning that wasn't getting done because this tool or that tool was hard to use or get attached on my old vacuum, did I mention the upholstery brush and how it pulled the dog hair up and the suction was so powerful it left a visible clean line. I will address some of the complaints others had that gave it less stars on some of the other reviews. 1) It was in perfect condition, not in the original box but came with multiple tools, all new and I could care less what color it is if it works. The poppy color accents my dogs nicely 2) This model detaches and that makes cleaning a breeze, there were complaints of the hose being too short, at 5'7" I do not possess ape arms and it was adequate, and it has a longer wand for the added few feet if you want to clean overhead. 3) The dust collection bin seems small, I agree to a point. You can see by the image how large it is, most all my vacuums were larger but I like to dump my bin with each room and this one never clogged up requiring me to stop and hand clean it out. So perhaps the design is superior and more effective, at this point I like it. The thing I notice more is how much dirt and dust it pulls up. *Lives in country * multiple dogs *Open windows. 4) Hard to push? Eat a sammich or check the rollers because this baby is smooth and quiet. 5) Tips over, DUH, use some common sense here, and the handle if you are reaching away from the machine. That suction is going to also cause the tank to move. 6) No Tool Caddy, use one of those bazillion plastic grocery bags you have and hang it on the handle of the machine, problem solved. The tools you will use very time fit on that funny little T attachment and hook to the vacuum. I am glad they did not waste my money on a fancy bag for to small attachments, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This is the first week I have had it I will try and post again in a few months, my vacuums usually last a couple years so I purchased the extended warranty, we will see what happens. My final words, GREAT VACUUM, practical common sense tool set up, easy to use and very portable. Really makes the time I have for cleaning the most productive. THANK YOU SHARK! ... show more

    • Exceeded my expectations
I really needed an anti hair wrap vacuum cleaner, I thought maybe a renewed would be a good starting spot to try it out. Arrived in pristine condition (I couldn't tell it had been used before). Easy to put together, the vacuum is amazing. The carpet looks a lot better than with previous cleaners and picked up a lot of dirt the other ones left, and no hair wrap! No smells, no dust kick up. The HEPA filters work great and even the hand vac system was easy to figure out. The swivel is a nice addition for corners and furniture and wasn't awkward to use. It was easy to snap together, lightweight for a vacuum. Suction is good on my short pile carpet. The removable cup opens at the bottom, so I surrounded it with a garbage bag and opened the switch by feel. Almost no dust blowback in my face. The other feature I like so far is the roller, it doesn't seem to have any hair on it. I love that, because my long hair absolutely kills vacuum cleaners. All you have to do is let it run for a few seconds tilted back and the roller does it's thing. There is also an indicator light if the vacuum gets full or overheats. The other feature I like is when you put it in upright position the blower (not sure if it's called that) shuts off so it doesn't have all that air coming out the bottom. The cord just gets stored on the outside, there are hooks for it, and I just put the little tools in a plastic grocery sack and hang it over the handle for safe keeping. Just got this vacuum tonight and besides the fact that it was shown on Amazon and described as being "Peony Red", as you can see, mine is bright blue....which I don't really care about either way except that I had to waste time researching to make sure I had received the correct vacuum. All of that being said, I busted it out right away and gave it a whirl on my recently vacuumed carpets...Wow!! the other vacuum sure left a lot behind as you can see from the half full canister. My carpets are wool so there is probably some shed due to the strong suction , but I heard other little debris getting sucked up as well. Its good to know that I can somewhat control the strength of the suction when I go over my more delicate oriental rug. It moved very easily & I really liked the way that the head could turn on a dime. It also got under furniture and between chair legs in the dining room. Two little minuses would be that moving from bare floor to carpet if it is a higher pile I would have to kind of lift it because the brush roll head doesn't lift up when you tilt the handle back since the vacuum is in a permanent down position once you step on the back and start cleaning. Also, there is space on the vacuum for one of the accessory tools but not the other...hmmm?? I opted for a Re-furbished model to save an extra $50, which I have done in the past and never regretted. ... show more

Ordered this vacuum because my pets brought fleas home and I needed a lot of vacuuming! This vacuum did an excellent job and wasn't hard to use. The pet hair and human hair cutting feature really does have an effect, surprisingly. On my old vacuum if I didn't go in and cut up the hair, it would break down, and eventually went kaputz. On this one, the only thing that messed with it was trying to suck up a rubber band. (I removed the rubber band, and all was good). It's fairly easy to empty and clean, not too heavy, and most of the attachments seem useful. My only complaint is that the attachments don't all store on the machine itself. On my old vacuum they all did, which made certain switching tasks easier. The refurbished model I ordered has had no hiccups so far, so I'm glad for the discount. ... show more
