  • Powerful & Lightweight!
Style: Bristle Brushroll
So easy to use and the suction is great. Love how it breaks into varied ways to reach high or intricate spots (like window sills!) The light weight was important to me and makes a difference in using…the longer cord is also wonderful so I can move to several areas easily. A real bonus to me is the light feature especially if vacuuming on cloudy day! ... show more

  • The Shark ZS362 corded stick vacuum is a winner for me!
Style: Self-Cleaning Brushroll
I just got this vacuum and I am very pleased with it. I use to have a Rainbow, which I loved, but it got too heavy for me now that I am 76 years old. I like that this Shark is two vacuums in one; a hand-held and a floor/carpet cleaner, too. I also like a corded model so I can clean as long as I want to without having to worry about a battery running low. On the top where you grip the handle is a switch for two speeds. One for carpet and one for floor/tile. And the cord is plenty long, 30 feet! Some people have commented about this vacuum being top-heavy. That's true, but with just a turn of the wrist, it maneuvers very easily. I find it helpful to use both hands to direct the power floor nozzle on carpet especially, because it really has strong suction (600 watts) and gets up dirt from deep in the pile, which is a good thing! The instructions say to empty the cup when dirt reaches the line in the cup, but I found that dirt hides that line. But the normal vacuum sound it makes while running gets higher and shriller when the cup needs to be emptied. I really LIKE that feature! The cup attachment removes easily from the hand-held top part and is a bit messy to empty, so it is good to hold the dirty cup over the trash can before releasing the flap that opens the cup. The cup has clear walls inside the cup where dirt can accumulate, but it comes really clean if you use a Swiffer duster to swipe around the inside of the cup and these walls after you have emptied it. You'll see what I mean if you try it. I also like that this vacuum cleaner can stand in a closet or utility room by itself, not taking up much space. To do so, the top part is removed and hooks onto the lower floor nozzle for storage and the cord wraps around two hooks and stays neat. I really like this feature. While vacuuming, the cleaner does not stand up by itself, but I have just leaned it against a corner or the wall and it stays just fine over carpeting. Be careful trying to lean it on a hardwood or tile floor, however, because it may slide down the wall and might break the handheld part. The fact that it is top heavy does not bother me at all. If necessary, I can lay it down, move something and then pick it back up. No big deal. I also love the fact that this vacuum has a lighted path on both the floor nozzle and the hand held unit as you clean making it much easier to see the dirt disappear as you sweep. On my model (ZS362) there are three accessories. A 5" crevice tool, a pet Multi-tool that has a removable brush (it is not motorized), and a small precision duster for tight spaces like keyboards or around knobs. I think I have covered everything. I LOVE this vacuum!!! You get value for a reasonable price!!!! ... show more

  • We’ll see if this one lasts
Style: Bristle Brushroll
Pros - very light, gets under furniture easily, great suction, long cord, love the light so you can see what you need to vacuum up, size is small enough that it even does stairs without the attachment. Cons- blows hot right on you while vacuuming, does not stand upright by itself, attachment keeps falling out of the holder while vacuuming, no padding so bangs up furniture if you hit it. I’ve had sharks before that have fallen apart in a matter of a few years & are not the best designed or quality so I was not going to buy another one but this had the features i wanted for the right price. Some solid pros but they can still do better with the design as you can see from my cons. Hoping this lasts longer then my last shark, i’ve had hoovers & eurekas last for over a decade & would have preferred to go with one of these brands but they didn’t have the features i wanted so giving shark another try. ... show more

  • Amazing. Puts Dyson DC6 to shame
Style: Self-Cleaning Brushroll
We had a cordless Dyson DC6 for our Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring. We have two little kids and a cat, so given the every day dust, crunched cereal, construction paper clippings, and cat hair tumbleweeds, we vacuum a lot. Over time the DC6’s battery power and duration dropped. We got a replacement battery but the Dyson was never the same. Would work sometimes and not the other. Most frustrating of all was that its head was so low to the ground that it could even suck up a Cheerio. Our world changed when we got the Shark Apex and we wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone and anyone: Friends, Family, and Amazon community. Details below... Enter the Shark Apex. -After being frustrated with the cordless vac’s inability to vacuum our whole house on a single charge, we decided to flip back to corded. Cordless is nice, but having the unlimited power availability of a corded vac can’t be beat. The cord wraps out of the way vertically from the handheld canister to the Top of the pole. It unwrap easily simply by flipping a little retaining tab down. The cord length is very nice. -The handheld canister /stores sits on the pole down by the head when not in use. Unwrap the cord, lift the canister off the rest, snap into the pole, and you’re good to go. Very simple process. -Canister collection cup size is surprisingly ample. You may need to empty it a few times depending on size of house, cleanliness level, etc, but it’s always amazing to see how much this thing picks up. The collection cup is easy to remove, easy to empty, and easy to put back in. -The canister is a good size which allows it to run with a good size motor. It has two speeds and does well on the lowest. Definitely don’t have to run high speed all the time. It comes with a removable flexible hose and a number of different nozzles can be quickly attached as needed. -The sucking power is great. Dyson can say all they want about their motors spinning as fast as race car engines, but if the head can’t get over a lone Cherrio, what’s the point? The two-speed Apex motor handles our LVP and medium pile rugs with ease. We are amazed at how much it picks up that we don’t even see. The floors look and feel so clean afterwards. It picks up cereal, peas, sand, rice, hair, crushed chips and leaves nothing behind. -The design of the head is really cool. It has what I’d call a pre-vac sweeper at the nose width of the head. It’s like what you’d see on the tail end of a street sweeper: a taller/wide rotating brush that grabs anything in its way and sends it back deeper into the head to be vacuumed up. This prevents—unlike the Dyson—larger debris simply being pushed out in front of the vacuum. If there is something in front of this head, you can pretty much guarantee that it’s going to get sucked up. I also don’t feel like I have to go over the same spot numerous times to w sure it got everything. -The vac doesn’t hang on a wall but it’s not a cordless Stick vac so I didn’t expect it to. Overall though, it has a small footprint and also doesn’t take up much vertical space when the canister is stored on the pole. Based on the small storage area needed for a corded vac, I’m putting this in the plus column in lieu of con. So the cons (seriously only two): -The canister should have a shoulder strap. This would make cleaning mini blinds, window ledges, lights, fans, or shelves so much easier. The canister isn’t crazy heavy—more bulky than anything—but the strap would add a ton of utility. I’m likely just going to fashion one from a luggage strap. Not a deal breaker by any means, but something to consider. -It would be nice if this came with some sort of attachment caddy. You can’t really mount the unit itself to the wall, but having something on the wall to simply store all the nozzles in one place would be a bonus. Using a clear plastic shoe box for this until I make my own caddy. Really though, we tell everyone with hardwood or LVP to buy this vacuum. I can’t speak to a fully carpeted house, but for our needs, it’s a game changer. ... show more
