Wow! This was first impression after I vacuumed the bedroom and hall. Those two rooms plus the kitchen are where my two Golden Retrievers spend most of their time indoors. Hair is a constant problem even though I groom them daily. This cordless stick Shark vacuum was lighter than the other cordless Shark and did an even better job. It had lots of power and suction. Because it was lighter, it took less time to vacuum. I have asthma, so handling the cup each time on my other cordless Shark meant wheezing, even when wearing a mask. But THIS cordless Shark has a stand and box that automatically empties the cup when you put ot on the charging stand. I turned it off and put it on the charger and- whoosh! Three seconds later the collection cup was pristinely clean. WOW! I am not easily impressed but this vacuum is wonderful. I now have three Shark vacuums. My first was a large, corded vacuum and heavy. I worried about tripping on the cord. My second was a cordless Shark but emptying the collection cup was hard on my asthma. ...Nice unit. It was very easy to assemble. It does work great, The suctions is super, and easy to handle unit. The instructions are printed on the inside of the box which is good, but the only thing I didn't particularly care for is the printed instruction paper. It could have a bolder print, as opposed to a print that fades. As you finish reading the faded instruction sheet, it is easy to operate it. When you receive the unit the battery is 30% full, therefore it was operational for about 10 minutes. The self disposing function is very nice. When you place the unit on the charger stand; it discharges or dumps the picked up dust to the bin underneath. Overall I like this unit a lot better than other cheaper vacuum cleaners. This is such a fabulous cordless vacuum. I have a small apartment with vinyl plank and low pile ruggable rugs. Many vacuums suck too hard on ruggable and get almost stuck in place from suction so are worthless. I've tried the Dyson V8 and V12. Dyson's clean like crazy, that's for sure. But they are unwieldy, unbalanced, hard to empty dust bin, small dust bins, no led lights. I think so overrated. This little beauty automatically adjust beautifully between my ruggables and my floor. It has a nice array of led lights. It is lightweight. I've not even experimented with echo and boost as auto works so well. I have a lot of cats. It is great picking up crystal litter, good at getting up pellets, average at picking up dry food so not 100%. But I'm satisfied with hard floor cleaning. I might try to do boost tomorrow. Now we come to the creme de la creme - the self-emptying dust bin. WOW. Just put in on the base and it immediately sucks all the debris in the bin into a nice sized container. I do not have to do a thing except empty that container now and then. And, now this is odd, the Dyson bins would fill up in 3 to 5 minutes. This bin has not filled up and yet my cat hair is gone off the carpet. It is as though the Dyson shreds and separates the hair, somehow multyplying it or spreading it out or something. This is a dream of a product. It’s slim enough to store away, battery charge lasts through a day of cleaning, suction is great and I love the ability to clean the main base 1x per month. The body can be heavy and may be awkward to lift up and out of base but I’m 5’1” and that could be the reason for the slight awkwardness. All in all an amazing product ... show more

I needed a cordless vacuum. I watched TONS of reviews. Considered high and medium end models. Stayed away from the cheap units...got burned. Hopefully I don't get burned with this vacuum. But all in all the vacuum is pretty good. It does have a brush roller that does good at getting pet hair. I do have to go over two or three times but I had to do that with the more powerful plug in vacuum so that is okay. The thing that really bug me is how poorly laid out the led lights are on the unit. Two issues....they only shine about 1.5" to 2" in front of the unit....and the color LED they choose doesn't highlight the stuff on the floor. If you are trying to vacuum up hair...you can't see it on the floor....the LED doesn't make it pop where you can it. So...big thumbs down. The lights should have been installed legit on the front of machine...and they should have been bright white....and it should have illuminated the floor and everything on it....so you have something to aim for. So, I installed my own LED lights....I'm not going to return the unit for this reason, but my lights are bright enough to illuminate every strand of hair...big or small...so I can suck it up and get the floors 100% free of hair. So there you go...the built in led lights suck on this vacuum but everything else it great. If you need light to vacuum...hard pass!!!! If it doesn't matter....Highly recommend! ... show more
