Updated Review: 5 Stars Initially, I rated the Shark 3-in-1 Max Air Purifier, Heater & Fan 3 stars because the air quality sensors weren’t working properly—they always indicated 100% clean. However, I work in an old building where employees wear dirty boots and stir up dust, so I knew the air wasn’t always perfect. Recently, the sensors started working correctly. In the mornings, they indicate air quality in the 90s and gradually improve to 100. When a coworker burned their food, the air quality dropped to the 70s and took about two hours to return to 100. I love this device! It makes my office more comfortable by constantly circulating the air, whether it’s hot or cool. The heater is very quiet and keeps my office cozy. I also love the timer feature as I can set it for 9 hours when I arrive and don’t have to worry about shutting it off. When I hear it shut down, I know it’s close to my time to start shutting down as well. Wish I would have ordered another one for home. The price has significantly increased. ... show more

I wasn't looking for an air purifier but while in search for filters for my current one, I found this. I was immediately drawn in because it was floor model size, shows the air quality, and is a fan and heater too. It was a little bigger than expected as far as width, but not height. I like that it shows the air quality and it usually declines when cooking. Putting it on auto is great because as the air quality improves it lowers the speed level and vice versa. The sound is pretty quiet on the first 2 levels, and are the loudest on levels 5 and 6 but I would say no louder than any other purifier or fan I know. I also find it cool that you can set it to oscillate. It is a bit on the pricey side and for that I wish the fan/heat vent was a little bigger. I like that there's a remote control but I would have also liked the option of having control settings on the actual item instead of needing the remote to conrol it. The only thing you can do without the remote is power on and off. Also, for the price it would have been good to be able to switch between purifier and fan/heat mode not just manually, but with the remote too. Lastly, I don't care for the loud chiming noise it makes when using the control settings. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I recommend it if you want a good quality air purifier and if you're only looking to cool or heat a small area. I don't think it's a good replacement to cool larger areas. ... show more

I purchased this for a discounted, albeit still expensive price on cyber-Monday. I was dismayed that the interior box was significantly damaged and was worried the unit was also going to be damaged, but it appeared to be fine. I called the company (Shark) to ask if I should return it and to ask if an instruction manual was supposed to be included since one was not in the beat-up box. I could not get anyone on the phone, and no one returned my request for a call-back. For as much as consumers pay for this product, customer service should be better. Now on to the unit itself. I love it. Prior to receiving this, I had an air purifier, tower fan, and space heater all set up in my room (1950s home), not very efficient. The all-in-one design was very appealing. I've now had a chance to use all the features, fan, heat, and air purifier; they work extremely well. The fan puts out cool air, the heat has been a godsend in the recent cold temps, and air purification has helped with allergies. The unit is quiet even at the higher settings, the remote feature is a plus and comes in handy when needing to make adjustments in the middle of the night. You can adjust the brightness of the displays which is also a plus. The drawbacks...there has been a persistent plastic smell with the heat running. It has improved, but I still smell it when I turn on the unit. Am I doing something wrong?? Idk because we don't have a manual. Also, sometimes on just the air purification setting, there is a higher pitched whistle noise, this doesn't seem to happen while the fan and heat are on or maybe those sounds drown out the whistle sound. Besides these issues and the aforementioned issues with customer service, I am very pleased with this product thus far. If the price drops again, I may purchase the smaller unit for our sunroom. ... show more

I have pets and need this help with dander and particulates in the air. It is a great air purifier and will do an excellent job and purifying the air your home. We noticed the difference immediately. It is pretty sensitive as I live in a two-story home and it can sense changes if I spray air freshner upstairs, although it does take longer to purify than it estimates on the device, sometimes much longer. The fan and heater seem to work well, but much weaker than the air purifier function. A great purchase and worth the money if you can afford it. ... show more

Two years in and it won't turn on anymore. No power light illuminated. New filter left unplugged and plugged back in and nothing.... one day it just shut itself off and died basically. For the price 2- 3 years ago and expensive filters, I feel it should still be up and running. But I've been trying for a week to replug it in in hopes I'll see that light annnnd nothing. Don't waste money. Unless you only want it a couple years. ... show more

I had this air purifier a little over a year now and the air purifier works great. The heater function is another story. I bought this in hopes it would replace my infrared heater. I don't know if it overheats or what happens but, shuts off after 5 to 10 minutes of running the heater. I have to wait another 10 to 20 minutes with the unit unplugged for the unit to turn back on. DONT BUY THIS BECAUSE IT HAS A HEATER. ... show more
