I tossed this game in my beach bag and it wasn’t a bother - didn’t take up much space and didn’t add much weight. The game seems scalable - the obsessive among us can set up a pristine board of sorts, and the lazy among us can just use the sand as the tides left it. I found myself in the latter lazy category, not wanting to spend much time or energy setting up the space, and had a grand time playing. It reminds me of ski ball just enough to ding the nostalgic feelings. This is one I’ll keep in the bag and take to the beach every time. Big win for us! ... show more

    • Four straight years best beach game ever!
I’m not a big review writer but this deserves a huge shout out. It’s crazy that such a simplistic game can be so captivating. I bought it four years ago on a lark for something different to do on our annual beach trip. Little did I know it would be the number one thing on the our list of “must brings”. Easy set up, ever changing arena, challenging skill test and no athleticism involved (i.e. you can hold an adult beverage while playing!). Some reviewers have suggested you could duplicate it w golf balls or other sports balls for much cheaper. Don’t be fooled. The peeps who designed this knew that wooden balls would be the perfect weight for sand play. Virtually indestructible and they float! Well thought out. Don’t overthink it. Just get it! ... show more

This game is so much fun! We bought it last summer for a beach trip and loved it so much we've given it as gifts. It is packable and so easy to learn and play. Everyone can play this, from young kids to grandparents. No real skill or athleticism required. It is well-made and well thought out. And add to that AMAZING customer service. Don't overthink this.     • Fun and easy to play, but a little overpriced
This is a great beach game. The "lazy" cornhole if you will. Much easier to bring to the beach than our boards. For what you get though, it's a little bit overpriced. But kudos to the creators for coming up with the idea!

I didn't think this game would be as good as it was, especially for $30, which seems high for 6 wooden balls and a scooper. But my family ended up playing it all 4 days on a beach vacation, and there was plenty of replay value! Very portable as well. I only wish they sold more balls in different colors, so we could make more complex game types and add people. ... show more

    • Exceeded expectations!
Ok - These things are legit! I was a skeptic and assumed golf balls would be a fine alternative but they truly are not! My friends here in Maui played this with me and we were all surprised that not only do these balls roll on soft sand, they even bounced a bit! Golf balls just kinda plop... This product is truly legit, and if you are an avid beachgoer this is a great game to bring along. One thing I also did not expect was its portability - the bag and gear are small, light, and easy to slip into any beach bag. I also love Kubb (look it up, great game!) but the game is so heavy I rarely commit to taking it out. Tidal ball is just going to live in my beach bag and always be ready. Amazing product, I highly recommend it. *one suggestion for the makers* - keeping the “court” in shape with the various things that can disturb your sand can be needed frequently, and the scoop is helpful but not a great/safe thing to throw back and forth... another scoop in the bag (so there is one for each side) would make the game experience a bit faster and even better than it already is! ... show more
