This is a lightweight power paddle. It does vibrate a bit if you don’t hit the sweet spot. This paddle is lively enough that even a poor dink tends to make it over the net.

Selkirk paddles are very popular these days for a good reason. They make a wide array of very good paddles. I have tried four different paddles and each of them are very good in different ways. This one is a paddle that will help anybody who likes to put some spin on the ball because it has a gentle grit on the surface. It is not so powerful of a paddle so that your shots go out when you’re pinpointing the lines. In conclusion, this is a great paddle for significant game improvement and people who really like to make the ball dance around the court with precision. The only drawback is if you are a precision dinker, you might end up hitting the ball on the hole and you’ll get nothing out of it whereas a paddle with no hole might still give you a chance to nudge the ball over the net. ... show more

The paddle has great control and I have more confidence is my soft game. The power is decent too, I am able to do more drop drives from the baseline to the opposition midcourt with a strong drive but drops to near the base of the kitchen line. I ordered a Selkirk Vanguard Power Air paddle for $212 and received a badly used Carbon Fiber Pickle Pro paddle that would be worth around $50. I'm SO upset! I passed up on one of the Selkirk paddles on Ebay that was in excellent shape that ended up being sold for a $150 bid because I thought it would go for more. The thing that really ticks me off is that this garbage paddle was sent to me by Selkirk! Needless to say I will never buy a Selkirk paddle because of their shady business practices ... show more

I purchased this paddle less than 6 months ago. I play 2-3 times a week. The face of the paddle has worn away on both sides leaving a honeycomb shape visible on both sides. I contacted Selkirk, sent them photos and they immediately replaced the paddle without any issues. Very impressed with their customer service. As such, revising my rating to 5 stars. ... show more
