So, this paddle is awesome. But is it a hundred bucks more awesome than my last paddle? Not sure, but here's what it does do. It is super light and the control is amazing. If you have trouble with your dink battles and have plenty of power without help from the paddle, you will love this. Now, the pop off the paddle is a little less than I'm used to and I needed to get used to that and feel comfortable with hitting it harder when in the deep court. If you have the means, it is pretty awesome. If you are on a budget, I just don't think the price is worth it. There are plenty of good options under 150 bucks. I had this paddle in my Amazon wish list for a long time, but I refused to pull the trigger because of the outrageous price point. I play casually a few times a month with friends--I'm, like, a 3.5 player. I ended up receiving this paddle as a birthday gift, and boy, is it an upgrade over my $60 starter paddle! I have tons more control, can put SO much more spin on the ball, and generally can hit a much more consistent shot. I think control and placement is much more important than just putting a ton of power behind shots, so this paddle is an obvious move for me. I really like it and highly recommend it if you're looking for a real control paddle. ... show more

Good solid feel and better than the 003 it is patterned after. The added swing weight really helped. I could place the ball with ease. Yes, it is not as poppie as many other paddles, but at 70 years old, power takes a back seat to sneaky placement. Perhaps it will makes you happy as it does Jack Sock? (Edit) Additional after 30 days: It has improved all my stokes. Placement is within 2' of my target or better, 80% of the time. It produces generous spin on my serves to enhance placement. It supports all of my ground and volley strokes with spin and precise placement. I'm happy! ... show more

Great paddle for control and have enough power for me! I like that there are no raised edges. It is the same size as the regular paddle (just inside the edges) but I like that it's smooth.

The media could not be loaded. First thing was how lite it felt. At 72 I have found control is better than power. This paddle has allowed me to add shot to my game I did not have before. I have drilled with this more than played with it. Also have been focusing on the softer game. I have added 3G of lead on both sides and added a grip over this grip and handle wrap over that. If you want to keep it new add edge guard, that paddle is soft. Tough the ground it will scratch. soft game improvement paddle. That is what I needed. ... show more

    • A very good paddle but might have some limitations
Several of those I play with use the Selkirk Luxx Epic. Since I prefer an elongated paddle I purchased the Invikta model. The paddle's relatively light weight and 20 mm core is designed for those would want enhanced "control" over "power" and I have no doubt that it fulfills this need. However, it turns out that the cutout interfered with the way I occasionally grip the paddle. Obviously this is not an issue for those who are using a Selkirk paddle with this design but it was for me. Given the current price of high end paddles the price of the Luxx is now par for the course. It is neither a good or bad value for the money. Selkirk offers a 30 day test drive with no questions asked returns. If any of the three Luxx shapes works for you then it is worth the price. ... show more

It’s pricey at $250, but my game instantly improved. It’s so light it’s easy to impart spin on the ball with just a flick of your wrist. On my very first serve the ball cleared the net and dove into the kitchen, I’d never done that before! The slightly longer and narrower shape generates more paddle speed and power to the ball.
