The Technic Fossil boomerang is probably best for teenagers above 13 as it is a little heavier than a child's boomerang. It is extremely durable and a great returner with a moderate toss. Remember to use a lot of spin and snap those wrists!

    • A little boomerang that flys nearly identically to the big, weighted ones!
The media could not be loaded. I've thrown boomerang for many years - including mostly the products of Colorado Boomerangs. I have some of their weighted boomerangs, which have monsterous flights (even in heavy wind). I ordered one of these off of Amazon, unsure what I was getting. It was very small- the smallest of the boomerangs I own (other than the Aerobee boomerang- which is actually very nice). I found the right point of wind, put in the average amount of layover, and threw it without much loft... and it went WAY out there, and chewed its way through the air in a trajectory much like the larger boomerangs I throw. It came right back, and best of all- because it it so light, it did not beat the daylights out of my hand when I caught it! An awesome little boomerang. I did not attempt to "tune" it at all, and it would be still be my choice of a travel boomerang, except my Chocolate Lab (Buster Brown) "retrieved" one early lander, and quickly converted it into two "proper sticks." I'll order another, or two- these little boomerangs are great- be sure you have plenty of open space, because these little boomerangs fly like the big ones! ... show more

The material wasn't what I expected, not as rigid as I thought it would be. It doesn't come exactly back to me, the closest I've gotten was within 10 feet, but it's probably because I'm not good at this, lol.

    • Buy bright colors
It is all good but, I didn't thought that it is better to buy bright colors, I almost lost this one because even when I saw where was falling I spend half an hour to find it.

    • Actually kind of works!!!
Comes with some good directions. Probably not easy for a young child, but for adults it's a hoot! Actually comes back (most of the way!). As skill improves, maybe it will come right back to the starting location. Highly recommend as a fun toy - but make sure you have plenty of space!!!

You need a lot of area to work it and no trees! You will loose it in the trees! The two sided ones are the best like this.

Super fun, but these things travel. I used them in a baseball field and they pretty much travel the whole distance. So make sure you have the room to play with them

Works ok. Not real good or bad. Limited distance but it does return. Relatively small size. Good as a starter.
