So far this kit works great for rigging up cable exercises. You'll need to get a bit creative though - depending on if you need pulleys to be at the ground, arm height, or overhead, I've had to use interesting combinations of the wires and chains, along with sometimes rigging a 2-pulley system to get it to sit and move correctly. However, I haven't encountered anything I COULDN'T do yet. I have a simple rack with a bar on the bottom, bar on top, and then I use my lifting bar to set at whatever height I need it. This has provided the versatility to do really anything. WARNING: Need to anchor properly if you have a free-standing rack (not anchored to a wall or anything). I need to use most of my plates and 75-lb dumbbells to prevent tipping, dragging, or movement when cabling weights. Some of it might be overkill, but much better than tipping the rack on your head. Just be judicious with the anchoring you use, and I've been able to 90-degree up to 100lbs so far without issue. If I'm using my weight bar for mounting the pulleys, I will move the rack hooks to the other side (away from the direction of pull), load up that bar, AND use weight to anchor the rack at the bottom. I'll keep it short. The product is fantastic. You get plenty of pulleys, cables, attachments, etc for starters. I've been using it now for a short while and I absolutely love it. It's a game changer if you do your weight training at home. Since this purchase, I've also gotten two additional loading pins since the original set came with one. That way I don't have to change the weights; I've got three loaded with different amounts so my exercise routine can flow easily. I've also added the JFJ spreader bar 40 inch lat bar as well. Anyway, this is worth it; don't hesitate to get it as long as you have a way of safely hanging the pulleys to handle the amount of weights you plan to use. ... show more

I waited for a significant number of workout cycles before reviewing so I could see the kinks and whether it was a legit long term solution. Let me tell ya, this thing is just absolutely bonkers quality and so simple I can't believe I didn't market it myself. If you have a home gym with a power rack or even just a good squat stand you now can have a legit cable cross over for less than $100. They do not skimp on what's included either. I've paid up to $30 for some of the attachments alone. I have mine set up inside a Rogue MonsterLite. I used 1 inch i-bolts, stuck them through the highest holes in the squat rack and secured them with big ol washers and correctly sized bolts. Carabiner the pulleys to the eye bolts and off you go. When not in use just unclip the carabiners and slide the weight stack to the back of the rack. Takes all of 15 seconds to do. Really cannot overstate how well done this thing is wish it was around years ago. ... show more

I didn’t want to buy this product because I was worried the pieces would be cheaply made and the cables wouldn’t be long enough. I’m 6’1 and I have plenty of cable to work with. The pulleys are surprisingly well built and feel nice, they’re also silent you can’t hear them. I’d like to see how these hold up long term but I’m very confident everything will last a really long time, best comparison to make is it feels like a nice cable set up at a planet fitness. I’ve loaded some weight up on the pin and set up the pulleys for different exercises and everything feels nice and smooth. It comes with 2 medium size chains for really easy adjusting if you need more length. TIP: people complain about the weight swaying, super easy fix to that is to get a longer thicker chain and run it across your weight plate and let it sag on the ground, it’ll keep it from moving. ... show more

After doing quite a bit of research I settled on this product to upgrade my home gym without breaking the bank. I’ve used all of the attachments and different pulley setups and couldn’t be happier. Everything is well made and the price can’t be beat for two pulleys. I’ve seen similar systems for double the cost and can’t imagine them operating any differently. I’ve separately purchased some ankle cuffs for leg workouts and extra carabiners to make things a breeze when changing configurations/attachments. ... show more

Got it today and the installation was easy. I did spend some extra mins figuring out how many cables I need for different exercises. For lat pull-down I ended up using one cable and a chain and using the middle bar on my power rack instead of the other side top bar (see photo) , that’s because otherwise I need two cables and the head/tail of the cable would stuck in the wheels if I do full motion pull. The disadvantages of using middle bar is that I’m too close to the plate, and based on eyeballing, as u see in the picture, when u load up the wheels will be tilted (not like the item description image the wheels are straight down nah), if anything breaks, the weight plate is coming straight to my face. To make it less scary, I only used one plate. It’s still scary. During the workout, I kept on having flash backs of these customer review images with broken strap in my head, and getting ready for dodging. Im going to keep this item (since I don’t have space for rep fitness lat pulldown attachment, it requires another 18inches or sum) and only do light weight and slowly replace parts until I’m confident enough to put two plates on this. I will come back and update if anything breaks and find a way to tell Amazon to flag this item, save some lives. Stay tuned :) ... show more
