I have a nice little gym in my basement that I use and take pride in I have had this little gym for two years, I like it quite a bit I'm 45 y/o, 5' 11" 270lbs and have built a few weight rooms I was trying to add some lat pull down and row capability to my little basement gym here I have owned nice (Parabody) weight stack pulley towers bolted onto the back of power racks I have owned mid grade (Marcy) plate loaded pulley towers integrated into half racks too I had never used a loading pin and pulley like this before. I was concerned about the loading pin swinging with the reps, and this being a safety issue in my little gym. I was considering a trolley system too, one that would ride up and down my rack upright. The loading pin and pulley from Amazon were much cheaper and would not take up space on my rack's front upright so I bought this system and tried it first. I also thought that if I liked this system I could expand it. I found the swing of the loading pin to be negligible, even when I position myself so that I end each rep without allowing the weights and pin to touch the ground. Swing is not a safety issue at all, at least not for me. The pulleys and cables and carabiners and two lengths of chain are top notch. I was surprised to find out that I like the lat pull down bar too, I expected it to be crap but I think it will have a home in my gym. I also like the individual handles and rope well enough to keep. The loading pin is fine and solid, I used it the first day, but I have replaced it with two matching all steel olympic ones. One thing I did not consider is how smooth the cable action is. Without a weight carriage running up and down a pipe or channel or whatever the only friction you experience is the cable running over the pulley and I can't feel that at all with these pulleys. It is the best cable pulley reps I have ever done in this regard. I used it the first day for lats and rows from my bench with a pulley hanging off of my rack's crossbar. Worked very well just like this. I added some 2x4s with eye hooks to my ceiling. They are centered on my rack. I left an open gap in the middle so I can still jump rope in front of my mirror. I posted a pic. They are painted black on the ceiling. Now I have perfect lat pulls, I can do crossovers, with a second moveable pull up bar on my rack I can place a pulley anywhere I want up or down for low row or mid row... I'm super stoked. I'd buy it again, and again, and again. I'll find the same pulleys and buy more of those for sure. ... show more

I’ve had several similar cable systems in my home gyms. But this weight pulley system was the greatest price for what I get. I’ve spent much more in the past and didn’t get as much value as I did with this. On time delivery, easy assembly, awesome quality, and the pulley is very smooth. This Pulley System is great for workout！ I have been using this for upper body workout and ab work outs . This is priced very reasonably. Like I said, I paid more on other products and received less value. Great job on this one guys. I like this weight pulley system, it has a good quality, the weight is manageable and overall I am satisfied. I was hesitant to buy a pulley system for the longest time because it always seemed so complicated to set up. I have a mounted rack at home, and a really extensive home gym set up, but one thing I was sadly lacking was a cable set up. This system was the perfect addition. Not only has my gym pull day been extended with this, but I was able to rig the second pulley so I can use it for leg days as well. I love the quality of the pulley and all the accessories. The variety is great. The only thing I'd suggest is investing in ankle straps if you don't already have it as, sadly this kit doesn't come with them. The other thing that may be a slight drawback is that the main straight bar is not as long as some others I've used in the gym. I don't have super broad shoulders so the mid-grip works great for me, but it might be a disappointment to someone looking for a wide-grip bar. ... show more

For the price this can’t be beat. I needed something just for tricep push downs and face pulls and this works great for that. It’s nowhere near commercial gym quality but if you’re like me and only need to use a couple times per week and not loading it with 300 lbs, it should last a long time.

I wanted to do lat pulldowns on my short power rack, but the company that makes the rack doesn't sell the attachment for the short version of the power rack. This product came to the rescue. Attaches easily to the crossbars of the rack and feels sturdy enough for the weight I'm moving (less than 100 lbs). The pulleys are excellent. Smooth and quiet. There's enough clearance to put the cable ends through the pulley without taking the pulley apart. Allows for easy assembly and disassembly. The weight plate holder works just fine. The only parts that feels too cheap are the carabiners. Easy enough to upgrade if you care. Great way to add cables to a power rack or similar setup. Definitely worth the price. The parts from Home Depot plus the attachments would cost more than this kit. ... show more

I looked at all the different pulley sets out their. Everything is smooth, lat pull down and all accessories are very good quality. This is the one to get. I’m extremely picky and love to return anything that does not work. This setup actually works and shows everything thats in the pic.

Being a full time student and balancing academics with the gym, I do not get much time to go to my campus recreation center. Even when I am able to go, some of the equipment is not always in the best condition. This pully system with the various attachments helps me keep up with my daily fitness goals and has made it easier than ever to work out. I am able to work out in any setting at the gym and the best part about it is that I don't have to worry about using any of the equipment that the public uses.
