  • Awesome sound, you need to calibrate!
This is a very large speaker. I designed the wall around it. Shown with the Max is a 75" OLED TV. It's the perfect size for larger panels. I use the subwoofer out via cable to a Klipsch powered sub. There have been software issues over the past 9 months. Twice I've had to unplug the speaker to unbrick it. The most important thing is to calibrate it with the supplied microphone. I didn't for months and was not happy with the sound quality. Acoustically the range was limited, vocals were terrible in movies and with Ambeo sound shaping on the sound was hollow and distant. Then I calibrated it, took all of 5 minutes. BOOM! Entirely different sound experience. It really opened up spatially and vocals are focused, tight, and understandable. ... show more

  • Stellar soundbar- app not so much
I bought this to replace a Bose soundbar. Set up was really simple- worked perfect strait away. I added a SVS 3000 sub after reading reviews because we were planning on playing music through the soundbar frequently. The combo sounds fantastic and fills our large living room easily. The only negative is the app- which I’ve never been able to get working- simply will not connect to my WiFi. Luckily I love sound and really don’t miss the ability to change settings. However I could see that - for this price- some people might not be as forgiving as I am. ... show more

  • Great sound - Fragile
I purchased this in 2021, and use it daily. The sound has been very good for the most part. For the past year it has occasionally had an issue where it would not shut off, and I'd need to unplug it to reset it. It has now blown a capacitor, filled my house with smoke, and lost most of its volume. Sennheiser support has been absolutely no help; in fact they've yet to respond to multiple inquiries, both via Amazon and also a service desk request in their own system. Find something less expensive, less heavy, and that has a linger life. It may not sound quite as nice, but it will save you a lot. ... show more

  • Awesome soundbar
This is by far the best sound bar I’ve ever owned. The sound is amazing, the Dolby atmos sound is incredible and immersive. It took me about 20 minutes to setup and calibrate. I immediately put in one of the hobbit movies in 4K and the sound is incredible. The only con I have with it is it’s pretty heavy and is pretty large but all in all amazing. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Very nice all in one solution
Pretty good. Better base than the smaller versions. But still not quite where you want it. App isn't as flexible as newer version too. I ultimately settled on this one. Hard to find a one size fits all solution. Still hard to make out speech which was one of my goals.

  • The perfect soundbar!
I’ve never really considered myself an audiophile but ai buy things to last and want quality. I had an older Yamaha receiver and surround setup, Klipsch sub, etc. Recently and because of covid (being stuck st home), I bought a new LG 65 CX TV, and XBOX Series X. Because I wanted an eARC connection and Dolby Atmos and full HDMI 2.1 passthrough to accomodate 4k and 120 fps, I scrapped my receiver and speakers for a soundbar and sub. Crazy right? I bought a Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar and SVS PB-1000 subwoofer. In a word, WOW! This blows away any soundbar and most 5.1.4 surround systems I’ve heard. Granted, true audiophiles will likely look down on this, but I must say, for the money, and granted, it’s not cheap, this is the best setup money can buy today. I have always liked having XM radio in the car and listending through a Burmester surround, but now I am loving music and movies and everything at home again. One negative is that when buying ‘bleeding edge’ there are lots of handshake issues with devices. I have painfully worked through them thankfully. ... show more

  • Ambeo soundbar
Just hooked up, lacking bass, definitely need a sub in my opinion. Nice set-up, but might not be exactly what I desired. Maybe expectations to high. Nice for smaller room.

  • It's worth the price if your downgrading from a home theater or a stereo to a sound bar.
If you have a sound system and your significant other is sick of the speakers and electronics, this is the sound bar to buy. You’re going to need a sub. And the Ambio mic and setup will do a very good job of marrying them together. (I have a KEF RB 400 which works well with the bar.) Once you give it access to your home network, something you should not have to give it, you can set it up fairly easily. I got around networking it to my wi-fi by running an Ethernet cable to it. My two complaints are these: the side firing speakers should be aimed 45° to the back, not the front, to widen the sound stage, and it should have at least two tweeters rear firing on each end to improve "presence". The final demerit is for the remote: seemingly every remote on the planet has the volume on the left side of the face of the remote, and the channels or whatever on the right side, for some odd reason Sennhiser knows better than this, which can get frustrating since the reason we buy a sound bar is for the sound, not a memory training device. ... show more
