  • Great for Off-Grid Living and Worksites.
This is one of the larger portable power stations I've gotten and is a workhorse as far as overall output and energy storage. With 1200w on two outlets, it opens up a lot of various applications both for home use and for use on worksites and areas that you need an AC outlet. Images included are all from a battery at half charge: -1196w is from a space heater on medium settings <it actually did push the inverter up to 1,600 watts when set to high so not really recommended. -The image with 639w is from a 10,000btu ac while compressor was on; when off it runs an average of 220w (will run this AC for around 2-3hrs). -The device showing140.4w is output from wall outlet and 114w is actual input registered by the power station. Clearly some loss during conversion but that's expected. -Did some testing with panels but didn't take pictures, but a 100w panel (outputting about 90w generally) did input the entire amount just fine. Didn't have time to connect the other panels together to see if it'll reach 240w. -And manual since no one ever puts them up in their advertisements... Pros: -Energy Storage Capacity. < At 974Wh, the internal battery is equivalent to a 75Ah (12v) battery. -Pure Sine Wave and BMS Battery Protection. <Helps protect both the battery and devices plugged in. -Plenty of outlets. <The two 1200w outlets are able to cover nearly any need up to and including most corded power tools. The numerous USB, DC port, and car adapter should cover all other needs. -Very informative display that tells you everything you need to know about charge and discharge times. -Decent charging input and times. <States that it will charge up to 240w with a solar panel capable of doing that and 120w from home AC outlet. In general, it will take about 5h at half charge and up to 10h from a depleted battery. -Great for worksites and/or off-grid living. <it is a bit heavy for taking on camping trips that require a lot of trekking, but for emergencies at home, off-grid living, and/or if you don't want to run an extension cord to the middle of a field, this works wonderfully. Cons: -Not the type of thing you'd want to carry long distances. <it's not the heaviest thing in the world and very much portable, but you don't want to have to carry this out in the woods for long. -Like any other device such as these, you certainly don't want them getting rained on or being left out in the elements as they will quickly be damaged by such things. Overall, I'm really impressed with its performance and usability. ... show more

  • Lacks features available in other premium solar generators
First the positives: 1. 1200 watts out of 2 a/c outlets is very useful. Of course if you were to use both a/c outlets to full capacity you'd deplete this device fully in a matter of minutes. 2. LifePO4 provides safer chemistry, and more recharge cycles than Lithium Ion (although curiously the instruction manual indicates both LifePO4 and Lithium Ion as the battery type - I'm assuming it's the former rather than the latter. 3. USB outlets are numerous and output generous amounts of power. 100 watts max on 1 USB-C and QC 3.0 on the other and on the 3 USB-A outlets. 4. Digital display indicates watts in/out, current charge in percentage format, and time remaining until fully charged/discharged given the current input/draw on the device. Now for my concerns: 1. Many premium units (and I would characterize this as at least attempting to fall into that category) offer features like Bluetooth connectivity, and direct a/c charging. This device lacks both - it requires a provided charging brick (which incidentally becomes quite hot during charging) 2. Charging speed is slower than would be expected from a more premium unit. 9 hours from depleted to fully charged using a/c power isn't really terribly acceptable. I plan to use this primarily for emergency preparedness (power outages resulting from tropical storms or hurricanes). For that purpose it should serve my needs. I'll be running either a full size refrigerator/freezer or alternatively a portable refrigerator/freezer. This should power either for the better part of a day. And I will be able to use solar panels, if necessary to recharge while a/c power isn't avaialable. But it would be nice if I could do so a bit more rapidly than this unit will recharge. On a/c power it's taking in about 115 watts while charging. I have other units that will, on rapid recharge mode, accept multiples of that. So this can be a useful part of your camping kit, or emergency prep kit, but its relatively slow recharge makes it a bit less desireable than some competitors' devices of similar power range. ... show more
