  • Very good so far
Style: Manual Height Adjustment Size: 20 Inch
I bought this mower because I wanted a simple trouble free machine. Self propells are heavy and trouble prone. It took me an hour to put it together but I am 82 so a bit slow. I advise anyone that does not have a pretty good level of mechanical experience and a metric tool kit to buy one of the other two models, they are much easier to assemble. I can tell by some of the negative feedback that improper assembly caused many of the problems. Additionally, I only plan to use one height setting, taking the wheels off to change the height would be a real pain. The box arrived on time and all parts were there and in good shape. The assembly instructions are pretty good, but there are a few things to be careful with. The first step is to bolt on the lower handles, look at figure 6 to see that they flare out, not in. When installing the wheel figure 4 is misleading, the bolt or axel goes into the wheel and the bushing and nut go on inside. Be sure to really tighten the nuts and bolts. I don’t think the trailing shield is designed properly, if you use it don’t back up the mower. I put ln all the oil that came in the bottle, and filled the tank with non ethanol gas. Note I checked the foam air filter and it was already lightly oiled. The oil and gas caps came off easily. I pressed primer 3 times and the mower started with 3 pulls. I mowed for an hour and it never worked hard even though the grass was quite high in places. I was surprised that it was so powerful. The cut was very even. The Briggs and Stratton operators manual is useless, it was actually laughable. Looking ahead I would like to know if anyone found where you can buy a replacement blade just in case Senix doesn’t sell them. Hope this was helpful and I will write again if problems crop up. ... show more

  • A well built simple small gas mower
Style: Manual Height Adjustment Size: 20 Inch
The reviews whining about this or that have missed what this mower is about. It's an inexpensive gasoline powered mower, for people who want a small, uncomplicated, basic mower. It's no frills. It has a good engine. The smallest engine that Briggs & Stratton make, but still, a good engine. The rest of the mower is just stuff that has been made that way for the last 80 years or so. There's something reassuring about a product that is pretty much the same as what you would have gotten 50 years ago. Yes, you have to put it together. You need two wrenches and nothing else. If you can't assemble this mower, that means you can't bake a cake, which is more complicated. Yes, you have to unbolt the wheels to raise or lower them. Of course you do. There's no lever mechanism to add expense, complication, and parts to break. It just goes on the middle setting for 95% of people anyway. So stop whining. It's a good basic mower for a good price. ... show more

  • Simple mower, does the job.
Style: Manual Height Adjustment Size: 20 Inch
This mower uses a Briggs & Stratton engine on a solid steel body. It has simple controls that work and is of sufficient size to do moderate mowing work. Oil is included and the mower started on the first pull. I use this mower to supplement the main mowing I do with my John Deere lawn tractor, working on the steeper sides of culverts and close into shrubs, trees, etc. It is perfect for this work. There are three downsides to this product. 1. The assembly instructions are terrible. In fact they are almost useless. Thankfully I am used to assembling these sort of products so once I looked over the parts I pretty much winged it and put it together fairly quickly. Even with my history of assembling machines I managed to bolt the handles on the wrong sides and had to reboot them. The "instructions" did not explain the sequence, the picture was actually backwards, and the parts themselves are not numbered or labeled right and left. 2. The protective shield that hangs down at the rear of the chassis to prevent debris from being thrown backward is poorly designed and quickly gets chewed up when you pull backward on the mower. Unlike most push mowers the shield does not have a heavier tube that runs along the bottom preventing it from folding under the mower into the blade. I am actually going to attach a piece of old hose to the bottom before it gets completely destroyed. 3. The wheel height cannot be adjusted without unbolting the wheels from the chassis. This is not a problem for me but I can see it being one if this is used as a primary mower. Apart from these 3 things I believe it it still a best buy for the money. Mowers that are better at these three things cost WAY more and often don't have as good basic parts. I consider it a good deal. ... show more

  • Solid product. Good value for price.
Style: 2-in-1 11-Inch Rear Wheels Size: 21 Inch
Best deal I could find on a basic push lawn mower. Deck and components seem pretty sturdy. Layout of controls, handle, and clippings ejection port, seem well thought out. Hard to go wrong with the 140cc Briggs & Sratton engine. Good value in a no frills grass cutter.

  • Mower broke quickly and Senix had HORRIBLE Customer Service
Style: 2-in-1 11-Inch Rear Wheels Size: 21 Inch
At first, I was pumped about this mower. It was lightweight and did a nice job cutting. However, after a year, the orange screws that keep the handle in place got stripped and no longer work. So, it makes the mower so much harder to turn and maneuver. I had to use duct tape for temporary relief, but that doesn't work nearly as well. I wanted to get the parts (the orange screws) replaced, so I filled out a customer service request with Senix several months ago and heard nothing back. So next, I tried calling them. TWICE I called them and listened to music for 10 minutes while waiting to talk to someone and got disconnected. Their customer service is terrible. I would NOT recommend this mower. ... show more

  • Would Buy again
Style: 2-in-1 11-Inch Rear Wheels Size: 21 Inch
So far, I'm very happy with this mower. I like it. It was very easy to assemble out of the box. Just put the handle together and add oil and gas. Only complaint is the rubber strip across the back,To protect you from rocks shooting at you, it's no good at all. As far as everything else goes, I'm really happy with it. It runs real good. Easy to adjust the height Real easy to start. I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Good mower.. but????
Style: 2-in-1 11-Inch Rear Wheels Size: 21 Inch
Good mower.. fired right up on 1st pull as it should.. but the reason for 3 stars is because I had to fix the lever that adjusts the height, the back lever was bent and I had to repair it but once I got it fixed it was working fine. I will be back with a update once I mow a full yard with it.
