The kit is great and easy to install. The only complaint I have is it doesn't include the flashing. It has a storm collar that does nothing to seal the hole in the roof. I had to purchase that separately. I can understand having to buy the pipe above it separate because they don't know how tall your roof is, but the flashing! That's something everyone will need and would be the same for most roofs. After getting all the right parts the install went fast and easy. My stove is doing good and I am happy with it. The slip pipe worked great on the single wall pipe I put inside. That you have to buy separately too. again I can see that, they don't know how high your ceiling will be. I liked it enough to tell my daughter to buy the same kit. She was for warned what else to buy with it and that made hers good even better. ... show more

Everything is in the box but it looks as though someone took parts out and then squeezed them back into the box. The black transition pipe is bent an awkward shape and the storm collar has lubricant all over it. The cap does as well which leads me to believe this was a returned product. There isn’t any creosote so it hasn’t been used but it’s definitely not an untouched product! Overall the kit was cheaper by $50 then our local store so it’s worth it. We also don’t have time to return it otherwise we would request another kit. The instructions that come with the kit are not detailed like the brochure that most stores have. Our local hardware store calls it the Selkirk bible. It explains exactly how to install this and makes someone inexperienced have more confidence! I’m also happy that selkirks new stainless insulated double wall is an appropriate pipe to use through the ceiling transition and the roof. That will save us quite a bit of $ then buying the triple wall from duravent. ... show more

    • Great but not for us!
This is a good value. However another piece must be ordered to fit into it. It did not work for our situation due to rafter issues.

    • Contained all the metal pieces needed for wood stove chimney installation in a metal roof pole barn.
The kit was just what I needed for the installation of my wood burning chimney in a metal roofed pole barn. I had to add a couple of 2 by 6s for mounting to roof framing and buy a tube of caulking for sealing around the installation & collar, which is mentioned in the instructions. Only bad comment is the company should add styrofoam pieces on the ends of the flue pipe pieces to avoid the connection areas from being bent during shipment. Took a set of needle nose pliers and 20 minutes to return the metal connections to original shape to be able to lock sections together. ... show more

    • is this really for wood burners
the pipe with the adjustable mounting ears was great-- after that it went downhill- lots of extra pieces not needed for my application thru a pole barn steel spray foamed roof. the adapter with the kit going from the insulated pipe to stove pipe is thin-not sure what gauge it is .i think its a secrete... i will not use this piece with my wood burning stove. i also need to purchase a roof jack-(boot) - if your going to offer a kit OFFer a complete kit ... show more
