Because of the included remote control that overrides the onboard controls, I think this is one of the safest ride-in vehicles for kids. But a child doesn't even need to be in this toy truck as it can be controlled totally with the remote control, which includes an emergency stop button. Assembly was straight forward with a good instruction manual, and it took me about 1 hour to complete the build. I was happy to find out the battery in this truck is lead acid, not lithium, so there's no concern of a fire hazard from malfunctioning lithium batteries. There's only room for 1 child and 66 lbs. is the rated load capacity meaning the weight of larger children could conceivably cause damage to the drive mechanisms, which have plastic gears. Fake engine sounds when the key is turned on are cool, but there is a multimedia suite onboard with Bluetooth connection and also a USB port to plug in a flash drive to play tunes. There's even some stand-alone onboard music available to play for the small driver. A battery level gauge on the dash is handy for knowing the remaining charge, and after about 45 minutes of steady use, the truck slowed down and was ready for a recharge. This could change depending on the weight of the child driving it. My granddaughters have been piloting this toy truck up and down my driveway and the smiles that I have seen tell me that they are enjoying it immensely. I got this for my son’s birthday and he loves it. This is very cute too, matching (almost) to my husbands/his daddy’s truck. It was somewhat easy to put together, but did take some time. It is durable. And comes with a remote control for us to also be able to steer. It has good power to it too.

The RAM 1500 Rho stroller is really sturdy, and the kids absolutely love its truck design. It rolls very smoothly, and I'm very satisfied with this purchase!
