This toaster is awesome so far. I get a nice even toast on each side and I love the timer on it .I have not tried a bagel yet but if it is anything like toasting bread it will be great. Very easy to clean, I got the Dark Stainless Steel and I was a little worried that it would get fingerprints like stainless steel does and when that didn't happen I was super excited. I would recommend this toaster . I read all the reviews on it even the bad ones ( I don't know why there are any bad ones anyways) I am really glad I bought it. Good for standard sized loaf bread and bagels. Extended "artisan" breads won't fit without trimming. Heating/toasting elements are effective! Toast (timer) control is GREAT, dialing in seconds of time, rather than target "color". Takes a few cycles to learn the "toastiness", but seems to be very consistent after that. ... show more

No even browning . One side is always lighter then the other but I guess you would have to pay over 200.00 for a toaster that does that. I just flip it over and toast other side for short time. I use it to toast bread and waffles. It is nice looking toaster. As far as cleaning the tray comes out and you can clean that but there is a ledge in every toaster I have had and there are crumbs there. If I were younger I would work up a redesign for that. ... show more
