Just opened the box today, VERY HAPPY. Out of the box it was very easy to attach the few connections. I gave it a test run just to make sure it is operational, and it was so easy to use that I ending up vacuuming the whole house even though I just did that yesterday. (and it still managed to pick up a lot more fur and dust even after the old vacuum did the job yesterday). It does everything my previous vacuum did plus more and better and easier. My main reasons for needing a new vacuum are (1) ease of use due to back pain issues and (2) for reaching under and behind furniture without a fuss. It's designed very well - easy on/off controls for the ET-1 powerhead are right there at my fingertips so I can vacuum my carpet and turn the motor off to safely do the fringe and floor. No need to change floor attachments. I love the adjustable suction control - it's super quite on low setting and an easy slide up to max power gives it great suction without increasing the noise level too much. So much quieter than any other vacuum I've had. The canister trails along behind me very easily, its lightweight and quiet wheels. (No more tugging and cursing.) The extending pole and the long hose make it super easy to reach way around me and all the way under the bed. No other vacuum ever did that for me without a huge fuss. The extending pole is nice because I can set it to the best length for my height so I don't need to be hunched over with an improper one size-fits-all length, and with a touch of a button it can be adjusted for hubby's height if he decides to vacuum for me. The only minor negative comments I have are (1) the parkay floor attachment falls off of its holder as soon as I pick up the vacuum - that is not important since the ET-1 powerhead does all floor types just fine so I doubt I'll use the floor attachment, I'll just leave it in the closet. and (2) I kept getting tangled up inside the long hose - I quickly learned that as long as I hold the hose with the empty hand I could avoid this problem altogether. That's an inherent problem with a long hose - easier to reach everywhere but more to get tangled in. Both of these nagatives are minor and easy to workaround so I would not hold it against the designers. This was is an excellent choice of vacuum even though the price was more than I expected to spend, but I did a lot of research before buying it and decided to take a chance. This is much better for my back and does a great job.

A UK friend introduced me to the Sebo brand so I gave it a go and bought the air belt k3 model. I have hardwood floors with oriental rugs throughout and 2 big longhair dogs + a cat! I knew I needed the power head attachment for getting the pet hairs out since I’ve had the Miele turbo head and it did not do a good job. The Sebo is light weight and rolls behind effortlessly. Great suction and beautifully gets the pet hair out of rugs It’s quiet and gets in under furniture with ease all the attachments are right there and the long hose allows for over door dusting and other high reach cleaning. Attachments swivel and does not stick honestly The Sebo feels like it was made by people who actually knows what’s needed when vacuum cleaning (unlike the Dyson folks) and nothing is complicated or hard to change! This is the best vacuum I have owned and easily beats Miele, Dyson, Electrolux and many other brands I have owned. Also the Price is well worth the product!

It’s a great vacuum, for the money it should be! It has help make my carpets look new again and it excels where my Dyson failed, it’s gets ALL the pet hair up off my short pile carpet, the speed control on the handle is nice as is the ability to turn on/off the motorized brush, the tug to rewind cord works better than expected and is long enough to do my apartment without switching outlets. It’s comically quiet, I used to have to wear ear protection but the air belt makes this enjoyably quiet. The bags may appear smallish but hold a lot and no more dust storm when changing them. The on board tool storage is ok but could use a redesign, having to insert the crevice tool into the upholstery tool is not horrible but was annoying so I purchased a regular upholstery tool even though there is no where to store it. Cleaning and dusting with this vacuum is a joy!

I am going to compare this machine to my 1998 Hoover Wind Tunnel upright vacuum cleaner. The Hoover needed a repair for the second time and I decided to retire it instead. Fourteen years is enough! This is when my troubles began. I read the customer reviews of Hoover vacuums here on Amazon, and on the Consumers Reports web site as well. I learned that Hoover vacuums had descended to the level of absolute junk. Use it a few times, and it breaks. I researched the other brands that I know: Kenmore, Electrolux, and Panasonic. Also junk! I eventually selected the SEBO K3. The Hoover has much more suction than the SEBO K3. In fact, it is wonderfully powerful. It is also hugely, ridiculously loud. Unlike the SEBO K3, the Hoover is an upright vacuum. Ultimately, the choice between an upright and a canister vacuum is a matter of taste. But consider that the Hoover is self-propelled. It really is easy to use. The Hoover has a headlight. It also has a light that goes out when the section of carpet you are pummeling is clean. I really like that. These are features that the SEBO K3 lacks. Finally, the Hoover power cord is about twice as long as the SEBO K3. The SEBO K3 is wonderfully quiet. The exhaust air passes through what looks like a cushy bumper around the perimeter of the canister. Hence, the name "Airbelt." This excellent design helps account for the quiet operation of the machine. This vacuum has a fingertip control right on the handle of the wand. This control allows infinite control over motor speed and hence suction. This control also allows you to turn the vacuum completely off. This is really nice: you don't have to bend over to turn the vacuum on and off. Finally, the SEBO has a very nice floor brush, and the Hoover has a bad one. You can buy a nice one for the Hoover though. Not expensive at all. Finally, there is the issue of cost. For the price of the SEBO K3, you could buy somewhere between two and three top-of-the-line Hoover Wind Tunnels! Don't laugh, I'm making a serious comparison. You could buy two Hoovers, and keep one in storage. When your Hoover breaks, you send it in for repairs and switch over to the spare vacuum. Depending on the cost of the repairs, you might save some money versus buying the SEBO K3. I actually thought about buying a RAIH (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Hoovers) but I found the idea repulsive. The next time you buy a vacuum cleaner, you will face the same dilemma that I did. Is it better to buy a moderately priced piece of junk, or a hugely expensive machine that is not junk?
