I got this as a birthday present. I wanted a kayak as opposed to a dinghy or something like that because of maneuverability. We’ve had a lot of rain in California this year and so I knew I wanted to do some boating, couldn’t afford an actual physical boat, and didn’t want the storage, but wanted to be able to be out on the water at some point to go on the rivers close by and mountain lakes here in the central valley. This kayak is the perfect choice. It holds two people and up to 500 pounds. You can go on lakes, rivers, or in the ocean. It was so easy to manage. The hardest part was putting the rings on for the valves. I have arthritis in my hand so I did have to use a plastic curved tool and a hairdryer to end up getting the little rings over the openings of the valves that took some time but after I figured out a system of doing it, I got all of the valves installed properly and then I was good to go. The instructions are very clear, and the KAYAK comes with a diagram about how full to inflate it. It’s 35 pounds and so it’s not that hard to transport down to the waters edge. The pump goes really quickly to inflate it. I think I had to pump it 60 times for the side, inflator parts of the boat 60–70 to get it fully inflated. It went really quick as a wink. It was really comfortable and easy to get into. Because it’s more like a little boat and not like the standard kayak where you’re sitting on top of it, it feels safer and more secure like you have less danger of flipping over and falling in , it’s really well designed and well thought out. The rubber is very sturdy and doesn’t feel like it’s going to puncture easily or lose air. But it does come with its own patch kit in case anything like that happens. It’s very attractive in white and you can see it. The paddles are easy to put together and adjust. It’s so lovely being out on the water is so quiet and serene. I might upgrade to the deluxe seats. Although the seats that came with the kayak are useful, at some point, I might want to have some thing that has a little bit of a taller back because I am a very tall person overall of fabulous by that is going to get many, many hours of enjoyment and recreation in water sports for me. ... show more

    • Awesome Kayak- A few minor issues

I just bought this kayak last week and took it out this past weekend to test it out. My boyfriend and I are avid kayakers and are used to using hard shell kayaks but the ones we had recently got stolen.. So I decided to try out an inflatable seeing as how they are cheaper and easier to travel with. I bought the sea eagle 330 with the deluxe seats because I thought it would be worth the extra $30 or so dollars for better seats. and it absolutely was... the seats are comfortable and super easy to pump up. First we go the kayak out of the box and inspected everything and it all looked great the paddles were sturdy and long. The bag that comes with this kayak is also amazing... Everything (paddles, kayak, pump, valves, seats) fits in there with room to add more if you wanted (although it gets quite heavy). Automatically we were psyched cause it was so easy to transport just one bag. We got to the river and laid everything out and started pumping it all up. we didn't us the foot pump cause we have a small electronic air pump for our car, and it worked great! everything was soooo easy to pump. HOWEVER this is where we ran into a few issues... this kayak is extremely NARROW! I felt kind of squished in the sides when I finally got in there.. We set up the seats and headed to the water. if floats great. We had a little trouble getting comfortable at first and we really had to adjust ourselves a few times to get positioned correctly but once we finally figured it out it was okay. One other trick I found out was I think it works better if you deflate the bottom of your chair. I felt like when it was pumped I was sitting too high, so I just undid the valve and it was much better. Fairly minor issue. This was also the first time my boyfriend and I had ridden tandem so that took a little getting used to. if you row different directions your paddles WILL hit. Once we got into sync it was much better. The take down was also so incredibly easy... Everything still fit into the bag perfectly and we just packed it up and were on our way. Overall definitely worth the money. Like I said there were definitely a few minor issues, its not perfect but it works great and is totally worth the money in my opinion. ... show more
