I was surprised at how small they packaged the product and a little concerned the stuffing wouldn't return to normal size but it expanded nicely. With all the carcinogens found in fabrics coming from china it went straight to the washer and dryer. I washed in warm water (although the manufacturer suggest cold) it didn't cause any bleeding or fading. I have a queen bed but I ordered the comforter in a full size and it was a perfect fit. The pillow cases are a nice touch and very soft, especially after a couple dryer sheets were added. The comforter held up to a very rigorous tear test, the one certified by my dog going crazy after her bath. I ordered black because it goes better with my tan sheets but not recommended when your dogs a white short-haired terrier. ... show more

I got this comforter to be the first layer of a well made bed. The first being the base color that makes the bed scarf "pop" with color. I couldn't be happier with it. The color is a cool, soft, rich, dove gray. It is perfect with the jewel tones of the scarf. Likewise, the pillow cases are a fabulous back drop for my decorative pillows. The quilting in it is in 12 inch squares, which I wish was closer together. I'll have to be really careful when I wash it. I'm concerned the batting layer will shift. It might be a good idea to temporarily baste it together with safety pins just for the wash. I'm not knocking a star off for that because not many comforters have this much anchoring. Overall, it is better than others I have purchased through the years. The thickness is perfect. Fluffy enough to be really comfortable and soft without being too poofy. In summary, what impresses me is that while it is the perfect color, it is also extremely comfortable, and useful. It's not just a pretty "face". I recommend this product. ... show more
