We live in a Cape Cod home with a small galley kitchen. It had a portable dishwasher when we moved in and after 19 years it gave out. Did some research, found this one. Easy to set up, and start using. The input/output hose does not retract, just hangs on the back of the unit. Our old one did retract. No big deal. When the unit cycles, it beeps 6 times, great! Upon detaching the hose from faucet, you have to "wiggle" it a few times in the sink to get excess water out. So far, so good. Thanks Matt Campbell ... show more

    • Damage when arrived
When the dishwasher came in, it had been dropped down at the bottom fell out. The motor wires are broke. We tried to hook water to it and it leaked all over my kitchen floor. Finally got it returned. It’s gonna take 45 days to get $800 back.

The media could not be loaded. To be perfectly honest, we only purchase this dishwasher because my husband saw that this brand SPT was rated in the top 10. I really wanted to purchase the same one that we had for eight years. We would’ve kept that, but the door was cracked on it. The only thing this one has going for it in our opinion is it seems to be built more sturdy as far as on the inside walls and door. We don’t like that the cord and the hose do not retract. We have had trouble with the soap either not dissolving at all or partially dissolving. Please don’t say that our water is not hot enough, because it is plenty hot and we let it run before we hook the hose up. The slots for the plates on the bottom, I feel are too close together. It doesn’t hold as many dishes, pots and pans as our previous dishwasher. The top shelf rack does not seem to be designed for our bowls, cups and glasses. It just seems to be such an inconvenience to be used three times a week like we do. ... show more

    • It washes the dishes . The racks do not fit standard American dishes well.

The dishes are well washed. The hose hanger included doesn't fit the machine. The racks don't fit the dishes well. Made for tea cups not tumblers and thick plates don't fit well.

It washes great. I love that it uses cold water to clean. Produces its own hot water. kool Easy roll around and locking feet. No leaks unless I make them. lol PS Also, as of late it’s been leaving food particle’s behind.
