By far the best purchase I have made. The rubber sling is a pain but you can chuck this spear easily just like Tom hanks in castaway. Highly recommend for a good time killing carp or even chicken if you get bored. Don’t second guess yourself buy it and stab them in the face.

I don't want to start off by bad mouthing this item, But, when you screw the spear head onto the pole it just twists and twists. There is a pre-drilled hole in the spear head attachment ( female side) and the shaft but there is not a screw or rivet holding the male metal section to the fiberglass shaft. Poor design if you ask me, or poor quality control. And the barb is quite large, see pic. I would love to receive a replacement. ... show more

This is a great starter spearfishing pole. It is a very basic design - just a fiberglass pole, a stainless steel tip, and a rubber band - but it works remarkably well. It only took a few tries to figure out how it worked, then it just took a little practice to work on the accuracy. I took it into the swimming pool several times to work on my aim before hitting the open water. Went diving on 2 separate occasions in the Fort Bragg, CA area. Speared 3 fish in just a couple of hours. The range is limited to basically 5 feet - the length of the pole. Easy enough to reload after a miss that you can often take 2 or 3 shots on one breath of air. ... show more

Shipment only came with yellow spear pole as pictured. No sling band or spear tip. Christmas gift for family and not happy at all.

I purchased this pole spear and was very excited to use it this weekend but when I opened the box, there was the fiberglass pole, speartip, but no rubber band. It is absolutely useless without the band and I should have paid a little more money for a better pole spear from a reputable brand. This one should come ready to use but a few other comments mentioned this was not the case due to packaging errors and I should have listened. A weekend of spearfishing plans ruined. ... show more

I ordered this as a grift for my brother. It was missing the steel prong. I gave the benefit of doubt and asked for another package. This one showed up without the steel prong and safety string. I’m not happy at all with this product.

Man it's hard to catch a fish but this rod is good for what it is. I got splinters when I was attaching the rubber band. My band is getting wear and tear quickly. Dont leave the little red cap on where it is hot or it will shrink and get stuck to the shaft tip. Had to cut it with a knife
