    • Best vest on the market and worth the price
This was the second ScotteVest I bought. I have one in black and one in off-white. They are absolutely the best for traveling, and I have actually stopped carrying a purse on my daily travels. These are light weight so good for any weather. In winter I throw it on over a sweater and add a rain coat on top. Has plenty of pockets so I can stuff myself if I'm flying. If you stuff it, don't expect to look "slim" though. Though I wasn't uncomfortable at all when fully loaded. For daily use I carry my phone, wallet, keys, dog treats and poo bags, a mask, lip balm, pen, notepad, and a couple other small things. And I'm hands free, no purse to lose! In summer I just put it on over a blouse or t-shirt and have never been any hotter than I would have been without it. Fits fine when nothing in it. I am a size 6-8, 5'2" and ordered a large based on other reviews. Perfect weight for early fall international travel. Kept iPhone in one upper pocket and my passport in the other side. Great while flying and entering/leaving country. However, if you put anything in other pockets then the lower part of the jacket becomes snug to very tight at hips and had to leave it unzipped. Not every woman is built straight up and down with boy hips. Even small sized women can have curves. I deducted one star for hip factor and extremely high price. ... show more

LOVE THIS VEST! i visited israel and this vest was an amazing addition to my travel wardrobe. first of all, going through TSA security was a breeze. i didn't carry a pocketbook; instead put everything in my vest...sunglasses, passport, wallet, tissues, phone, etc. When i went through the security line, i only had to take off my vest and place it in the bin. easy peasy. one of the pockets even will house an ipad. while traveling through israel, everything in the vest was easily accessible and even though the temperature was rather warm, the vest was comfortable and i didn't feel encumbered by it at all. even though you fill the pockets up, for some reason, the vest doesn't hang down in the front with the weight; the vest kind of self adjusts. i was the envy of the other travelers since i didn't have to carry a pocketbook with me (which by the way is a great asset when visiting the powder room since some powder rooms do not have hooks on which to hang your bag and you wind up hanging it around your neck! not a pretty site!) the only thing i would advise is to get a size larger than you would ordinarily wear as they run small. the zippers are also a problem...you have to be cognizant of keeping the material away from the zipper as you close or open it so the material doesn't get caught. other than that, this vest is well worth the money and i will take it every time i travel. i loved it so much that i also bought the heavier jacket for cooler temperature travel. ... show more

    • Perfect for Travel and Exactly What I Needed!

I bought this for a trip to Italy and I can’t imagine my trip without it. That is not an overstatement! Miles of walking, day tours, train stations, airports and hikes… carrying nothing like a bag or purse was incredible! Additionally, if any of you are like me and struggle with public restrooms, (when possible I don’t like to take my bag in), this eliminated that anxiety and meant my friend didn’t have to wait for me to go before she did, and on a day tour where you’re with a group, that was great to avoid. I kept my phone in the front breast pocket, super easy to access for taking photos, and kept my cash, credit cards and passport in the inner pockets for security. It had plenty of room for tissues, purell wipes, and even several small souvenirs. It was super lightweight and while it is of course an additional layer of clothing, (I found my back to be warmer than normal but I could unzip the front), to me it was totally worth the trade off. She tried it on, she put typical articles in so many pockets she could not get the vest closed. They are true to size, but once you start filling up the pockets, you will wish you had ordered a size up. Plus, ordering a size up gives you more options for layering under it. It is well made, so I expect it to last a long time & many trips. It isn’t as lightweight as I had hoped, but that is just a function of multiple layers of fabric to create all the pockets.     • love this vest but can't find the right size

This vest is perfect for traveling safely with all your important stuff. Unfortunately, I've had to return two due to fit. The suggested XL swallowed me, and the L was too tight across the chest. If I could find the right fit, I would definitely buy it again.
