worked good, easy install

  • Easy to install and works great!
We recently installed a new/old electric garage door opener for family--it had been laying around still in the box for almost 20 years! As I read through the directions I realized that if there was a power outage, there was not way to open the door (they don't have another door.) Using only basic tools we installed this in about 5 minutes. ... show more

  • It worked!
I can not open our garage door for a week, after the battery dead in the garage door service. We was without power, due to the storm. Now, I ready for it again. Thanks!

  • No instructions included
It took me some time to figure out the placement of the lock on the door. I wanted to make sure I didn’t cut any unnecessary holes but after I did some simple calculations it went on with no hassle. I did have an issue where the cable would get hung on the garage lifting bracket and cause it to disengage but I fixed that with a cable guide. ... show more

  • Pin popped out of locking barrel and cable was too short.
The metallic cable is not long enough, so I had to use my old my old cable to connect it up and so the garage can be unlocked without the remote. The pin on the locking barrel where the cable connects popped out. I had push it back in and cut a line in each side so I could bend it and keep it from popping lose again. Also, no instruction. The bent double hook clip on the pin, what is that used for? Overal I would not recommend. Amazon would not post my initial review, which was much more kinder than this one. In addition, this will not lock. No mater which way it is turned the barrel will pull right out. ... show more
