As others have stated. The instructions are wrong and confusing. This is the same as another reviewer but I added what the blue wire is for. I used a 9v battery pack and connected: Red from battery to red and yel of the switch Black from battery to black of switch and black of your light/device White of switch to red of your light/device. Blue is used for normally closed devices (in place of the white which is normally open) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Honestly, the first one I ordered didn’t work for me, even after following the circuit diagram. If it’s your first time using one of these, just know that the X with the circle around it is the symbol for “lamp” or the device you’re working with. One discrepancy that I did find, however, is that the positive output from the controller was actually the BLUE wire, not the yellow or white wire. Once I made this change, I introduced a motor control to dim my LEDs and everything worked as expected. Overall I am pleased with the unit. One issue that you will need to watch out for is the color coding in the wires as it does not match wiring diagram. However the circuit board is labeled so figuring out Normally open/ closed/ com is not bad, just don't trust the directions. The other thing is that it does not pass V+ you have to either provide V+ through the com wire or tie com and the V+ together and then tie V- to V- of the controlled item. This product has awful instructions! But I did follow the instructions of a couple of different reviewers and I just could not get it to work. There was no problem linking the fob to the switch.
