Real review**** This is a 5 star product don’t listen to all those other reviews I don’t know how you can not understand how to use it but it’s simple and easy. This is now my 4th nexar camera I have them on my jeep and Honda and car in El Salvador and the other my father in law by far the best camera !!!!! Want a camera that starts to record once you begin driving this is the one !!!!! 5 star product tracks your driving on app miles etc I wish they can put mph on there but anyways this is 5 stars I don’t care what anyone else says never ever I had issue with app Password any info to hookup on your phone is on camera on bottom I don’t read instructions I just wired it and then hooked up camera and then download app plug camera in and will begin to connect make sure you have Bluetooth on and wifi as it hooks up directly to your phone so meaning every time you go drive it will automatically begin recording and saving to your phone ... show more

This is my second Scosche camera, since I already have the app for the other and 4 other Nexar Beam cameras, setup was a breeze. The app recognized the camera when I asked to add a new device. The app also swaps between the cameras when I get into the other cars. I like the system because it records to the cloud and to your phone, you do not need to pull the sd card to review the video. It also has a parking mode, hard brake notices. Good camera for the price, clear video both night and day. Wiring was easy, routed it to a usb plug so I didn’t have to see the cord in a 12v accessory plug. ... show more

Although the quality of the video is good, this camera as failed to record every trip, upload to the cloud service, only saved 1-2 minutes of much longer trip or just had corrupted videos. I tried having it connected to the plug/socket that connects straight to the battery, but then it would 'record' 17 hr videos and the phone app would work in the background draining my battery in the process. I then plugged it to the socket that only works when the car is turned on, and it worked a bit better, but would have most of the aforementioned problems with it missing recording and corrupt videos that are supposed to be 1 hr long but only 1-2 minutes of footage. Camera has a good build and picture quality. It records directly on your phone which makes it convenient. The value for money is excellent because it was about $40-50 on sale. The only issue I have is the delayed recording from startup. There’s sometimes a 30 seconds to the minute delay in recording. I’m unsure of if a software update would fix the issue. ... show more

It was easy to set up and route the power cord through my car. I'm not wild about the difficulty in creating a clip of a portion of my drive to share. You have to be IN the car with the camera ON. I figured since everything was accessible on my phone that would allow me to pick and choose what to save and share from the comfort of my couch. Also, each drive, no matter how short or long, creates one file instead of dividing it into shorter 1 min, 3 min or 5 min increments. Therefore, when you have something you want to go back to watch, you have to scroll through the ENTIRE video to find it. It also has no way to SAVE video while driving (for example: if you're driving and something really cool happens in front of you, you can't push a button or ask it to save that one particular section of video that will be easily accessible later). I do like that I have a cabin view option, but again, to access that portion of the video, you have to be near the camera with it turned on. Video quality is good though. ... show more
