For some time I had wanted an Indiana Jones hat. I began looking at a few and I liked the Indiana Jones style hat but not with the ribbon band with the bow tie. The Scala Classico Outback hat was just what I was looking for. The hat did come in an Amazon box, without any packing material, but was in perfect shape. I would say that the size chart is true to fit. I needed a 7 1/4 so I ordered a Large (7 1/4 - 7/3/8). The hat was just a little large so I inserted a couple of foam strips in the inner band and it fits great. The shape of the hat is just what I wanted. I enjoy wearing this hat. Resized it using the foam tape that was included. Scalas khaki isn’t khaki but a brown olive gray. My wife seeing it in different light thought I owned more than one. It is thick and durable feeling. I bought it for travel and rainy days.

The media could not be loaded. I have several hats and a lot of them are Bailey, a couple Stetsons and I needed an everyday hat that will take the wear and tear of work, I n and out of the truck and the weather. This hat has seen it all, the rain, being crushed, sat on, dropped, spilled on and the likes. It held up to it all and retained its shape and come right back to the original way it was. The color is really nice it's a good thick felt material and not cheap at all it came with feathers I took my feathers out. This hat has a leather accent band around it which is very nice and thick. The fit is true to size so measure your head with a tape measure and order correctly I put a couple of pieces of the foam that the hat came in, cut into strips and placed them inside the band to give thr hata tight fit to hold during the windy days. Hope this helps and if you get this hat, I'm sure you'll enjoy it For the price you just can't beat it for everyday wear or something that you want to grab and go out the door in a hurry but still looks good enough to go out in y'all have a great day. 😉 ... show more

Using their sizing guide, I got a large. A medium would have probably been just right, but with some sizing tape it fits fine now. The hat is well made, but there are a couple of barely noticeable spots of discoloration on the underside of the brim. I bought this as a replacement for the same style and color of hat from a different brand that is 10 years old and quite worn. I expect that this one will last at least as long, judging from the construction and thickness of the felt. ... show more
