Purchased a M1 iMac with only a 256GB SSD so I knew I would need an expansion port. this was perfect since it matched the light blue cover and sites conveniently in the base foot of the iMac. I plug my external 1TB SSD into one of the USB ports and all is perfect. Also researched how to go into terminal mode to make my iphone updates work directly with the external 1TB SSD instead of the internal SSD so I had sufficient storage to do backups. ... show more

Great piece of tech. Sleek. I like how it matches my MacBook and Mac mini. The only issue I’ve had with it is sometimes it doesn’t recognize my SD cards. It happens on rare occasions but if I remove the card and re-insert it typically fixes the issue. Overall I’d recommend it.

This product was designed to fit behind your apple screen. It fits beautifully there. It looks fantastic, but it has to function to get a great product review. The first time I used it, I plugged my Solid State drive into it, and after a certain amount of times, it stopped working in one of the ports. The second time I thought I was smart, and I plugged in an adapter that I would use to plug my SSD in. This way if I unplug it, I would wear out a 2 dollar connection instead of this nice device. I am back at square one again, because the second one has malfunctioned in that port. I won't be buying it again. Shucks! ... show more

I've bought 3 of these so far. I use one on an M1 Mac and it works fantastic. USB hard drives, thumb drives and SD cards no problem. My wife has a Lenovo all in one with Windows 11.
