The SANUS VLT16 Super Slim tilting mount places 51" - 80" TVs just .82" / 2.08 cm from the wall, yet still allows up to 10 Degree of tilting capability. The VLT16 features the revolutionary Adjustable Virtual Axis technology, which allows tilt tension to be adjusted to compensate for a variety of TV depths. Unlike other ultra-thin mounts on the market, the VLT16 also offers additional exclusive features that make it incredibly easy to install and use. ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustments allow the TV to be perfectly positioned after hanging. Click Stand technology holds the TV away from the wall for easy cable access without having to remove the TV from the mount. Let me start by saying I've bought and installed around 6 different Sanus mounts in my lifetime. I like them, and continue to buy them... but this one is sub-par at best. The problem with this one is they used cheap plastic safety latches on an otherwise all metal mount (I've included a picture of my broken latch, it's hard to see but the circled area shows the broken plastic piece I'm describing) . The safety latch is the really important component that keeps the TV from inadvertently falling off the mount and crushing your kid that's trying to hang from it. So it's kind of important. Why they would cheap out with just this part of the mount is beyond me. In my experience I finally got this TV mounted and hung just where I wanted it, but the second I pulled both of the safety cords to move the TV and run my cables, one of the safety latches snapped. Like, spring flying, broke in half snapped. Ok... not ideal, at least I still had one latch holding it on, maybe that will be enough. Guess what happened the very next time I tried to pull the safety latch? Yep, the other one snapped just like the first. Unfortunately for me I waited over the 30 days to install this thing so I can't return it. It's sitting on my desk waiting for trash day. In the end I was able to use a different mount I had that I didn't think would work in this space, but with a little ingenuity works just fine.     • Great mount, Ultimate slim
If you want a bracket that sits your TV as close to the wall as possible - this is it. The bracket also has a great 10% tilt once mounted. For any wire routing, etc. work that occurs after mounting there are retractable legs that pop out to hold your TV out from the wall. I mounted our 77' lg cxpua and the mounting is easy and straight forward. The only issue is that there is very little space between the wall and the bracket once the tv is mounted even with the feet extended. Once it's wired and up though it will look like it's flat against the wall. ... show more

    • The plastic pieces can fail
Like other reviewers that had the locking clip break, I had the same issue. In addition, if the tilt lock screws were placed on the other side of the uprights, the space between the uprights would be a couple inches wider making for a more stable mount. Our installation is above a fireplace mantle so the screen tilts down a bit negating the point of having an almost flush mount. If wall mounted at eye level it would be fairly tight against the wall, which is point of this particular wall mount. Since one locking clip is still functional and taking down and reinstalling is a 2 person pain, I'm not bothering to return. ... show more

    • Sleek and sturdy!
I'm an advanced DIY - certainly no professional - but I've installed 10+ TVs through the years. This works about the same as every other Sanus mount, but it has the benefit of giving the TV a much more flush look against the wall. The kickstands can be a little finicky, but well worth the finished look. This is a great product to show off the sleekness of an OLED panel. Very sturdy. ... show more

I researched these quite a bit. This is by far the thinnest stand that can tilt. If you are looking for a razor thin stand that can tilt, this is the one to get. Works and looks great!

    • Very slim.
We bought this model because it has less than 1" gap between the wall and the TV, and my wife doesn't want the TV sticking out at all! It is solid and well made, like most other Sanus products I have seen. It only has one horizontal rail as opposed to two rails that other models have which I think would make them sturdier, so that is a trade-off. Also not that the bottoms of the vertical arms just rest on the wall, so use some soft pads if you don't want to dent or scratch the wall or sheetrock/paint. ... show more

I bought this tilt mount at the recommendation of our AV Consultant when we were mounting a 65 inch TV above the fireplace. The electrician installed it and the TV looks great. The TV feels secure and gives just enough tilt that no one would really notice it. I would buy this again!
